Spoke to a brewery rep at a tap takover in Durham today and OHB Event Horizon should be released the first week in December. Had this beer on tap and it was one of the smoothest bba stouts I have ever had. Cant wait for this one to hit. According to the rep it will be distributed to their normal distro area.

Really looking forward to trying this one. Since I live in Hickory, I'm imagining I'll have no trouble tracking it down on tap as soon as it's out  May have to start a stock pile for trading too... hehe.

Stoked for this one. Lindley Park is so damn good.

Given that there is still a decent amount of Lindley Park laying around Hickory, I should have no trouble getting this. I cannot wait because I've never had Event Horizon and have always wanted to try it.

Send me a case please guys.

Kidding, but I've always wanted to try a highly rated beer from OH. The Irish Walker was insanely good, I can't imagine they'd do any worse anywhere else.

I also want to try this finally this year. Lindley Park was a huge let down and waste of 13$.

EH flies under the radar, but it's as good or better than more expensive highly acclaimed stouts. But of course I'm an NC homer driving up the trade value.

Depends on what you were expecting, more barrel than fruit. Last year was the opposite.

My bottle was all fruit, zero barrel, and completely flat. I would have dumped it if it weren't so expensive and limited. I really really tried to like it.

Wow, what I had has been all barrel and little fruit, the ones I've traded guys are asking for more. How many have you popped?

Only one. There was only one shop here that got them and they only got 12.

That's a shame. It was one of the winners at the last bottle share we had.

I had mine on tap, I hear there can be differences. Last year there was Raspberry pulp in the tapped brew, so I've been told. Give it another shot, not sure if there were different batches brewed.

If I could get one, I certainly would. I already assumed I got a bad bottle due to the extreme difference in the ratings and reviews. I literally dumped the second glass as hard as I could and got no head at all. ZERO. The bottle I had was a 3/5 at best and tasted like raspberry cough syrup. A shame indeed.

Call Chris at Peabodys in Boone he'll ship it to your door. A few bucks more with the shipping, but solid all the way.

had a 2012 on tap at Bruisin' ales at the end of ashville beer week and it was awesome. i def agree that there are other "baby whalez" that people freak out about that are the same level or slightly lower. i was skeptic turned believer. def looking forward to this one!

I like it a lot. I'm not quite there with "equal of Parabola" but I wouldn't argue the point either.
