Cistmontaine Black's Dawn is an easy-to-get, affordably priced imperial stout that's very good, IMO. It's pretty well-reviewed but doesn't seem to get mentioned very often.

As far as something to watch for once the distribution ramps up, Madtree's PsycHOPathy IPA is top-shelf.

    SA Maple Pecan Porter....

I found it to far exceed my expectations, it was downright delicious. Sadly, it will most likely be over looked by many simply because its Sam Adams.

Also, Southern Tier 2xIPA. It's doesn't get much attention around here, but it is an excellent example of the style.

Good point and I couldn't agree more.

I've never purchased an entire case so I'm not sure if those are date stamped instead. I bought a few of the Hot Jala-Heim for a friend when I was in Rochester and I popped one just to see how fresh it was and after picking up a fresh growler from them a few weeks ago the difference was like night and day, still peppery, but too much malt coming in to play and messing with the hot pepper hi-lites. With the Domination, it doesn't matter, that beer is just a bottle full of bourbon/barley goodness! (Currently rated at 88 but I consider it to be more in the 90's instead, just an amazing combination of flavor.) I've been stashing those away a few bottles at a time, it's one of the best barrel aged barleys that I've had and IMO, way better than it's rating.

Beat me to it. Having this on tap is amazing! Trois Pistoles here always have dust on the bottles for some odd reason. When I want a BSDA and it be pocket friendly, this is a go to.

One of my favorites, too. I thought I remembered hearing that La Cumbre was distro'ing to CO now, so my fingers are crossed that it's more available in a few years.

Eye of the Hawk by Mendocino comes to mind. Being able to get a 6 pack for $7 and change makes it that much better.
