Just putting some feelers out on what it takes to land one before I throw an ISO up for it. I don't follow Jester King to closely. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't go higher than 4$4. Despite the 100 rating on BA it really isn't that good. Those rating are probably from Texans trying to drive up the value. However if you really like cough syrup then shoot for the moon.

Here's what I traded it for

    1:1 Bramble
    2:1 DDG
    1:1 JD Mexican Cake

I've also extra'd a few out to regular trading partners, and unfortunately have none left.

And the negative comments above are ridiculous. If someone doesn't like a beer, thats fine, but don't try to pass off your own opinion as fact. Look at the reviews - I looked at the 10 most recent, and only 2 are from TX, so saying the rating is just homerism is uninformed. Is it a 100? I have no idea what that even means, but I've drank several bottles and had it on tap at least 4 times, and in my opinion its a delicious fruited sour. You might have thought it tasted like cough syrup, but the reviews disagree.

As did the judges at GABF..... Unless their medal was in the cough syrup category that I didn't know about. Lol

I enjoyed atrial, so much so that I just traded for a 3rd bottle. Still stand by my comment though.

When considering hads, that number jumps to 23 out of the 25 most recent reviews. Of those 23 out-of-staters, the average score is 4.497, so unless collective BA taste buds have shifted from hops -> barrel-aged beers -> sours -> cough syrup, I'd say the beer might be slightly better than Mr. X intimates.

I agree with your comments in general, because there are plenty of beers that trade very high that I dont find to be very good (Dark Lord and Rare immediately come to mind). But there are people who love those beers, so I realize that everyone's tastes are different.

I traded an Iris for it as part a larger trade where my trading parter evened out the $4$ discrepancy.

You're a (nice guy). The beer is delicious.

I say the value is very high for Atrial...my wife loves them and I am obsessed with the beer. Living 2.5 hours away, I want to make it to JK as much as possible to drink it on tap.

Hey I remember my first sour beer, I liked it too.

Sorry but I don't think that homers can be the ones to claim a lack of homerism, particularly right after you write about how high you have traded it.

Carry on, these things even out in time.

Not a homer at all - not from TX, and don't do reviews. And I wrote about what I traded it for because thats actually the question the OP asked. But to each their own.

Slightly different in taste and color, but I'm hard pressed to say which I preferred more.

I did not try them side by side and blend 1 was bottle and I've only had blend 2 on tap

Likewise, although I did prefer 2 over 1. Batch 2 is fresher and thus more raspberry taste than 1.

Why release batch 1 and 2 fairly close to each other? Did they have some barrel that didn't take?

Nope, JK waited on the recent Texas brewpub license to become available to release Atrial so Batch 1 sat until then.

You're wrong. Personally, I loved AR when I tried it and I think it deserves what I gave it (4.75), but I also tend to overrate beers. AR is one of the most overrated beers on BeerAdvocate. That is a fact, unlike your claim, stating the 10 most recent reviews actually indicate a true sample proving it's not overrated. The Top 250 list was analyzed to compare in-state vs out-of-state reviews a couple weeks ago. It is the 8th highest overrated beer on the list. If you want the actual numbers including % differences and p-values, then BM me. It is not my work and is not welcome on this site, but I think it holds very interesting numbers and statistics.

I don't mean to call you out, but when some one actually thinks looking at a tiny sample of the larger population proves anything, then I can't keep quiet. Claiming something without evidence happens way too much on this site.
