If you can get there, the Costco off Morena Drive should have it. You normally need a membership card to buy things at Costco but due to some California laws you can buy booze without the membership.

There's probably other places around Mission Beach too so hopefully someone else chimes in that is more familiar with stores around there.

    True beer nerds in here.

A bottle of Enjoy By stored in 70ish degree temps (All Costcos I've been in) for 30 days will taste exaclty the same as it a bottle stored at 45 degrees.

A "true" Ba would purchase the beer directly.from the brewery since they see the largest return per sale and thus helps the brewery out the most. Fuck Costco.

Dude, what did Costco do to get you so angry. Was it the fact that they bring down costs throughout the market? Was it that they pay their employees a living wage? Are they responsible for your somewhat childish user name? And when did Stone need help financially? I think they are doing alright for themselves.

CostCo made me so angry that they were selling Enjoy By at a great price, but stored slightly warm for a few days, that I bought an amazingly priced Utopias instead.

I was so upset I only bought 6 instead of my normal case.

Serious note. Carlsbad has about 15-20 cases left.

Not the greatest craft beer spot in SD, but Sprout's on Garnet definitely has it, and in the cooler. It's also likely around at Ralph's, maybe Trader Joe's (had it last run) and any liquor store with decent stone distro. Also look for it to show up on tap at Amplified/Cali Kebab, Ciro's, and TapRoom all nearby within the next week/days.

My user name is the name of a Bruery beer.

    Yours makes equally no sense.

I don't care for Costco and you should know that any brewery makes more via selling direct to the customer than through a 3rd party. Regardless if they need the cash.

I could care less about Costco. I'm not a member.

How much less could you care? I'd post an image of the caring continuum, but the post would probably get deleted.

    I care -1 Fucks. Exactly.

Its a good beer, one of the best Stone makes. But I'll still buy it from the brewery.

I love Costco. Some dicktouch is really being a hater for no reason about it.

If Stone had a problem with you buying their beer at Costco (or any other retail establishment) then they wouldn't distribute to them. Not sure why you're trying to make a moral higher ground decision on a situation they have no problem with.

Do you think you're a better beer supporter since you buy it from the brewery? How narrow-minded area you? Clearly you know nothing about business and you also know nothing about being a "true" BA.

Costco selling Stones is promoting craft beer. If you aren't in support of that, you aren't a "true" BA.

Clearly I understand how the money flows better than you do.

Costco will reach new consumers based on price. True supporters will purchase at the brewery where other than production cost, 100% of the profits lands directly in the brewers bank. Regardless of brewery. By being a "supporter" and buying at a 3rd party (any) only a fraction of profit goes back to the brewery. Which of course already happened when the 3rd party bought the product at wholesale prices.

If you want to support a brewery the most you can, buy directly at the brewery.

Predefinition, anyone buying at the cheapest price available is acting like a consumer. Which is fully acceptable in the big picture. But on THIS site where we support our breweries there's something else people need to know. And this is more important for noobs (and the clowns posting in this thread) to understand how beer distribution works and why its important to buy directly from the brewery:
    1. Freshness. Won't be sitting out warm and is hopefully the latest bottled batch
    2. Breweries generally don't undersell retail, so 100% of profits goes directly to the brewery vs sold at wholesale into distribution where the brewery only sees a fraction of the profits (while seller and then retail takes their profit cut)
    3. Breweries love foot traffic, tell em what you think.

Now if you don'tlive near the brewery (or company store in Stone's case) buy wherever.

That's the difference between supporting a brewery and being a consumer.

Fun fact: You don't have to be a Costco member to purchase alcohol or medicine.

In order to sell alcohol in California you are issued a public license, (type 21 - General off-sale license), you do not have to be a member in order to purchase alcohol because this license is giving the general public the ability to buy it.

I've not been a member for a while and I just stroll right in, grab whatever I want, then go to check out. A manager will have to come to the register to key in a 99 non-member thing on the register, but sure enough, all of the savings and none of the membership fees.

So perhaps you should start caring.

No. Read above. Plus their parking lots and lines suck balls. The mission valley location is hell on earth.

You drink in the parking lot or in line at Costco? That'd make it a better experience.
