Sign up for IMBIBE; you can get in early. You just need to print out your "yep, you're a member" email. You didn't have to be signed up by any specific time to take advantage of the deal.

Also, say hi when you stumble out. I'm in 2nd session.

I've got evening session tickets. Trying to decide on a perfect pregame meal to get a good base. Protein and Carbs seem like a good idea? I want "full" but not "fall asleep full." Any good input from other veterans?

Now that there are shitters outside, I concur.
Last year, a burrito was an "unnecessary risk."

Anything going on tomorrow night that wont be a complete cluster? Any tastings? I'd be happy to bring out some nice MN beers.

Yep. You could pretty much drink BA Abraxas all night with little to no line last year (I did a few back-and-forths between this and LA track 10 since the stations were so close)

    Cheers!

Work can't end soon enough so I can start the trek to Chicago. Where should we hit tonight. Steering clear of the Local Option since that will be a complete cluster.

Hey sorry for the tremendously lame question here, but do you need to have the name of the person you are bringing with on the ticket, like some other events? I looked on the BPT site and couldn't find anything about it, just wanted to confirm before I print these off. Don't want an angry girlfriend tapping her foot when she can't get in because my name is on both tickets..... Seriously guys she probably enjoys barrel aged beers even more than I do, she will cut my face off and wear it in with my ID if necessary.

I'm driving in from Madison tomorrow for the early session. I see there's some construction going on - any tips on routes to take or sections of road to avoid? Also, any tips on parking? Sounds like there will be some free shuttles. I might want to park near a bar/restaurant that I can return to via the free shuttle afterwards to chill for a while before driving back. Thanks!

Are you talking about the construction at the WI/IL border on 94, or construction on 90? There's really no good way to avoid either, unfortunately.

Last year, there was plenty of parking at the venue... at least there was half an hour before the doors opened for non-IMBIBE members

I've got my name on both tickets, too. Pretty sure if you're there, it'll be okay. And if not, I plan on raising hell and/or leaving my buddy to figure it out while I down copious pours.
