Good choice- we likes it very much. Keep it under two months old, though.

Welcome- there are plenty of other great brews out there of all shapes and sizes. Here's hoping you stick around for a spell- you're off to a great start!

Thanks. I have been into IPAs for about two years now. I have lurked here often but just recently joined. I have tried so many over the past two years. Not a cheap journey by any means. At this time in my journey there is aways some flower power in the fridge.

Flower Power is an Excellent brew. Decently cheap and pretty available. .. I have tried a bunch of IPA/DIPA/PA etc. and FP is up there with the rest of them...

If you can find Maine Beer Co. Lunch that is an excellent one as well..

It's my favorite ipa from the east coast. The only negative thing I can manage to say about it is that Ithica labels are ugly as sin though.

Seems to have lost something since Jeff O'neil left Ithaca. Not sure if they perhaps own the name but he owned the recipe and they had to change it????

    One of my favorites.

Keep an eye out for Cigar City Jai Alai. They just started distributing to the Philly area again. Personal favorite.

First had it as a college student in Ithaca. Didn't strike me as anything amazing, but my palate was green. Got some a few years later when visiting the alma mater, and it was excellent.

Continued to be a favorite for many years. I went into withdrawal until it was distributed to central MA. However, the last few times I had it (early 2013), it didn't have the same punch. After buying two disappointing 6-packs, I took a break.

It's not in my distribution area anymore, but I'd like to try it again. I have read about frequent recipe changes, and can understand my variable experiences. Only problem is first-timers bashing it for not living up to past reviews.

My first one was like Aphrodite's sweet spot. But like Alpine's Nelson, it has tasted a bit different from different batches. To me, it's Nelson's little brother, but it is still good.

Fresh Flower Power is my favorite beer...somewhat sentimental....have had some wonderful times while drinking it (party boat cruising on Lake George...etc) but the nose is incredible ...popping a growler of FP and taking a hearty whiff is almost unrivaled IMO

Very nice IPA. As a matter of fact, I had a couple last night. A local sports bar we go to a lot before my sons hockey practice(and during) has it on tap, so does my local beer store.

You really should do a comparison with Flower Power, Finest Kind, Dirt Wolf, and Double Simcoe. I think you will find, as I have, that

it is great to be a fine beer lover in America today with beers of this quality so easily available.
