I just wanted to say how impressed I am at the quality of this IPA that Trillium is putting out. I had no problem putting down 64oz of this stuff while watching the Pats game last night. If you haven't had it yet, hit these guys up for a growler. They're easy to find, right in the Seaport.
    You won't be disappointed.

Trillium is definitely making some really good beers. Congress St. is awesome. Really want to try Fort Point

They are really an impressive brewery that makes very good beers. I've had Fort Point PA, Beaver Hat, Tiny Chicken, Dry Stack and Congress St. My two favorites are FPPA and Congress St.

Agreed. I try to get to Trillium whenever I can. I enjoy many of their beers, but Congress St. and Fort Point Pale Ale are my favorites. FPPA is my favorite of those two. I've loved it since the first time I tasted it. Excited that it should be on tap for fills this week and hopefully I can get some this weekend.

I've tried pretty much all of their output so far except Bug Valley. Congress Street is top three alongside Lineage Rye and Cuvee de Tetreault.

I said this in another thread but I will repeat it, Congress St. is probably the best smelling IPA ive ever had. The taste is phenomenal as well but the smell is what sets it apart. Cannot wait to pick up another growler.

Still haven't gotten over there...really don't feel like dealing with the traffic after work. Is the parking situation as bad as I expect it is?

Not really. I've never been during the week for that exact reason. Every time I've gone it's been on Saturday and I always try for when they open. When they used to open at 10 on Saturday it was easy. I would park at a metered space, but it was never an issue since I was almost always the first person there.
Since they've moved Saturday opening hour to 12 I do the same thing, but have never encountered an issue even with the later time. I've never been there with more than a handful of people ahead of me thus the wait isn't long and you don't really run the risk of anything if you are parked somewhat illegally.
    So worth the trip IMO.

Congress Street was good - I picked up some last week. It smelled great and was pretty tasty. I can't wait for the return of Fort Point - I heard it should be back in a week or so (brewed on 10/31, I think)

On street parking shouldn't be much of an issue (feed the meters, a buddy of mine went in for a quick fill and came back to a meter ticket.)

A couple of hundred feet from the brewery there's a strip of pavement on Stillings Street right next to the new park (past the parking garage and past the numbered parking spots) - it's kind of a no-man's land (no spot markings) and people park there for free all day and I've never seen anyone towed there aside from the people that park right next to the dumpsters. There's room there for about 10 cars (spots tend to free up in the 4-5 PM ballpark.) No guarantees that you won't get towed, but it's an option. Just make sure to stay on the park side of the street, not the building side.

While there check out Bee's Knees - it's a small market with a small-ish but really well thought out beer selection - nice folks working there. Be warned, amongst the shoppers there's a pretty high hipster to person ratio.

There's also Flour next door. Great bakery (get the sticky buns) - also lots of tight pants and ironic facial hair.

I've never had a problem parking in the alley behind Trillium.

thanks for the kind words guys...re: parking, here are some tips

    FREE
there are 3-4 spots right alongside the retail entrance and a few more in the alley behind the brewery, but those kind of rarely change over (not privately owned).

    METER SPOTS
Meter spots on Boston Wharf, Congress, Seaport Blvd, Summer Street.
    http://en.parkopedia.com/parking/meter/22_boston_wharf_road/02210/boston/

weekdays: I usually troll around for a meter spot for a bit and find one relatively easily 75% of the time when the work crowd is leaving (~330-530PM). It gets tight again after that window and not much changes over at that point as meters are free after 6PM on Boston Wharf, Congress, Seaport Blvd.

saturdays: much easier to find a meter spot, but as the day wears on toward 6PM, it gets much tougher.

As a heads up: meters turn to resident parking on Summer Street. I learned that the hard way.

    PARKING LOTS:
Otherwise a bunch of (rather expensive) lots nearby.

However, if you go to bee knees, they'll validate parking free at the farnsworth st garage (up to 1hour) with a purchase of $25 or more. fantastic cheese, etc. usually some pretty solid bottles available there too.

Nearest Tstop is South Station, ~5-7min walk.

I'm in there once or twice a week. Its great that there's not really a line the times I go after work. They have quality growler fills for such a small brewery too. None of that janky filled-right-off-the-tap stuff.

They are very good about posting what is on tap on Twitter/Facebook?
