So it seems like this Black Friday beer release is catching on. I've heard of a few so far.

    Goose Island Bourbon County
    Hoppin Frog BORIS Van Winkle
    Odd Side Ales Morningwood

Just wondering if this is a Midwest thing or this is happening all over?

LOL at "truck chasers". It's only beer.

I hope some stores have the sense to either release this early or hold it and release it late. I don't know about any of you but, I prefer to stay home on Black Friday and hang with my family. The stores are crazy enough without this being added to the mix, leave it to Inbev to start this idea.

Black Friday is only a "day" because stuff is on sale. Sometimes a really good sale. Is the beer gonna be on a really good sale too? :stuck_out_tongue:

AB-Inbev owns Goose Island and is likely responsible for all of their marketing at this point.

And goose island is responsible for binnys black friday event how? If anything its Adam Vavrick's fault.

I believe this is a nationally run ad from the corporate release marketing material and not exclusive to Binny's or the Chicago area.

Binny's started selling this on BF way before ABinbev was in the picture.

TD is doing great work these days. Big fan, but there's no way I'd pay $50 for BA christmas beer.

"Co-owner John Najeway said the brewery also will release a new barrel-aged beer on draft at the tasting room -- a Belgian-style imperial stout that was aged in Four Roses Bourbon barrels.."

Ok, I'm game. Might stop after hitting Hopping Frog.

    TD Barleywine is fantastic.

Damn, I read that too quickly. I was hoping it was the BA stout that was the 1.5L. Now I'm rethinking this one.

I've seen 2012 still sitting at my local shop for about $40 i wanna say...would be fun for a christmas party or something like that. Seems like a pretty steep increase though from the brewery.

Anything above $10 a bomber is completely unreasonable, not sure what some brewers are thinking when pricing their beer these days.
