What does your BA username mean?

the gator is a nickname I picked up when i played drums in a cover band. we had one drunk guy come to the bar every thursday night and request red red wine by ub40. god, do I hate that song. after a number of thursday nights playing red red wine he decided, in a drunken stupor, that we all needed nick names. I was named "the gator" and it stuck. i fought it for years but alas I finally gave in. I've had Florida Gator fans try to fight me because, well because they were drunk. I have had a group of drunk guys from louisiana try to fight me because my nick name is the gator though i'm from CT. i never wanted this nick name in the first place.

 

Mine relates to a drunken BBQ incident in Mexico...my chicken caught on fire...pollo en fuego.

 

My younger child made the Dinosaur that is my avatar. He made and handed it to me while I was trying to think of a name.

 

I'm a Husky of the UW variety. Beer is amazing; even Huskies, Ducks, and Cougs that hate each other can get along great at a beer-tasting.

 

Just so people go "how the hell do you say your screen name?" every time I meet them in person.

Big fan of mythology, especially Greek and Roman. -eus, -us suffixes are common in mythology names. I've always thought the Latin grapheme æ is cool. Used this sn everywhere since 1995.

Mine is my first name. I capitalized the last letter since it's a palindrome...

 

It's one of the many nicknames of the drummer of my favorite band, Phish.

Actually, "Voodoo" after a boat called Voodoo Lady, "Fish" because I enjoy fishing, "65" was my number when I played football, "USF" is the university I graduated from. Looking back, I should've gone with "The_Creature_from_the_Stout_Lagoon"

 

mental1 has a dual meaning either crazy/reckless or a thinker. I'm a little bit of both. Originally just "mental" used as my screen handle when playing racing video games (reckeless and crazy). It stuck over the years and morphed to mental1 because mental is never available. The added 1 can be interpreted as "mental one" or a thinker if you will which I thought was kinda cool.

 

I was hoping it was a reference to the the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but the other one is ok too, I guess.

 

I was feeling pretty uncreative and wanted something I could remember and my various id's that I used a few other places were all taken. My avatar is bubble girl being chased by a T-Rex, because it makes me laugh every time I see it, and my favorite beer style is the Belgian Strong Dark. I'll tell you what though, volunteering at the BA Festivals with essentially my real name has never been a source of shame, ha.

 

Mine is a nickname from working at my Dad's car dealership when I was 14, washing cars and sweeping floors...usually when someone told me to do something, my response was generally "do what?" or "huh?". So they called me Do What Huh but it got shortened. I added the extra "o" because it looked better.
