The beer my parents drank. Working class folk. Delivery every two weeks the day after payday (Thu. pay, Fri. delivery). Two beers every evening. Introduction to how beer should be consumed 1) regularly and 2) within one's budget.

I guess that would be a correct translation! I like to think of myself as the Irish American overhuman.

I am a Mosin Nagant enthusiast. The 762 represents the 7.62x54 caliber. I use the same screen name basically everywhere so I wanted to stay consistent. The avatar is from the movie Enemy at the Gates, which a lot of people call the "Mosin Nagant movie" because the rifle is prominently featured throughout the film.

My last name is Brewer, but I don't make the stuff, so I couldn't use the name here with a clean conscience. I settled on an obscure name from a book of saints in hopes of not having to type numbers or suffixes after the name.

I chose mine in honor of the brave men who flew Spitfires during World War II:
The Supermarine Spitfire is a British single-seat fighter aircraft that was used by the Royal Air Force and many other Allied countries in the Second World War. The Spitfire was produced in greater number than any other British aircraft and was the only British fighter in continuous production throughout the war, and it continued in use as a fighter and also in secondary roles into the 1950s.[5] Owing to the iconic status that the Spitfire achieved during its operational years, preservation and restoration of remaining examples have occupied enthusiasts for the half century since it ceased production.

The Spitfire was designed as a short-range, high-performance interceptor aircraft[6] by R. J. Mitchell, chief designer at Supermarine Aviation Works (which operated as a subsidiary of Vickers-Armstrong from 1928). Mitchell continued to refine the design until his death from cancer in 1937, whereupon his colleague Joseph Smith became chief designer.[7] Where speed was seen as essential to carrying out the mission of home defence against enemy bombers,[6] the Spitfire's thin cross-section elliptical wing allowed it a higher top speed than several contemporary fighters, including the Hawker Hurricane.[8]

During the Battle of Britain (July–October 1940), the Spitfire was perceived by the public as the RAF fighter, though the more numerous Hawker Hurricane shouldered a greater proportion of the burden against the Luftwaffe. The Spitfire units had a lower attrition rate and a higher victory-to-loss ratio than those flying Hurricanes.[9]

After the Battle of Britain, the Spitfire became the backbone of RAF Fighter Command, and saw action in the European, Mediterranean, Pacific and the South-East Asian theatres. Much loved by its pilots, the Spitfire served in several roles, including interceptor, photo-reconnaissance, fighter-bomber, carrier-based fighter, and trainer. It was built in many variants, using several wing configurations.[10] Although the original airframe was designed to be powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine producing 1,030 hp (768 kW), it was adaptable enough to use increasingly powerful Merlin and later Rolls-Royce Griffon engines producing up to 2,035 hp (1,520 kW)

Was obsessed with Pixies in highschool, even though they had been broken up for a decade before I started listening to them. This is the name I used for a music forum in highschool and have just used it ever since. Still a fan, but if I could I would change my name to something Steely Dan related as they are the new obsession and have been for the last 4 years...
