Any new news on when it should hit shelves in the city? I've called a couple locations and they all say they haven't gotten any supply yet and don't know when they will. I believe it was officially released last week correct? I've got 15 and 16 bottles so really want to get 17 as well!
Last year it definitely hit the week of Thanksgiving. I remember well because I called around to places asking if they expected it that week as I would be out of town and was crossing my fingers. "No, no, definitely next week," said the proprietors, "After Thanksgiving, for sure." I then checked Twitter from the far reaches of Northern Wisconsin to see the pics of FW16 on shelves. Damn it all! I said. Then I salved my wounds with some New Glarus. Abyss is supposed to be dropping on the 14th, right? So that should be in Chicago soon as well. Abyss, FW 17, Surly about to hit, and GI BCBS insanity. November is not kind to the beer nerd's wallet (or waistline)!
I was just in California and many of the stores there already had it on the shelf. Probably doesn't help at all but shows that it did hit distribution. If you don't get any via stores, hit me up and I am sure we can work out a trade.
Trying to revive this topic. Anyone seen any around? Would just be looking for a bottle to put together a vertical.
I picked up one yesterday from the Binnys on Grand, but they are now sold out. It's def. in Chicago and slowly making it's way out from the darkness
It's in at South Loop Binnys. We saw one over-excited nerd running from the parking lot into the store and I said to my buddies "I'll eat my hat if that guy doesn't have a FSW17 bottle in his hand when we get up there". Needless to say, that hat is still on my head.
