Blushing Monk

    What's it take right now? I know CBS has gone down hill but what about BM? Figure if it's also gone downhill it'd be easier to get? :grinning:

    I know it's not what you want to hear but it hasn't gone downhill. Actually has gotten better in the last year or so.

    I tried CBS a few months ago and I wasn't that impressed. I could tell if the flavors were more pronounced it would be awesome but I thought it was just ok for all the hype. To bad I don't have a CBS to trade. Anyone else recently land a Blushing Monk?

    I had BM a month or so ago and it tasted amazing. Although I got lucky because my brother-in-law found it in his cellar. Sorry I can't be more help OP, goodluck!

    Blushing Monk hasn't gone downhill at all IMO. Had an '11 about a month ago and it was just as jammy and tasty as it was fresh. Good luck!

    Why can't I land another one!? I thought a CR would do it based on $ but I guess I've been told I'm pretty off? How off? Are there very few bottles left?

    I have to agree with @iadler. I had a '11 Blushing Monk at a tasting in May, and it was great. Its like Imperial Rubaeus.

    Blushing Monk is getting better with age. Had 2 in the last 18 months and each time it was better than the time before.

    I got one from an awesome trading partner for some limited Mn beers from Surly and WI, nothing crazy. But this dude is the boss. I guess anyone who sends you a BA Batch9000 for almost nothing is awesome!

    It's excellent!
