I'm torn as to which bottle to pursue. I understand that they are both highly sought after, and there is no correct definitive answer. I have also come to the realization that I may not ever be able to land either bottle. That doesn't mean I can't try. However, to those BA's out there that have had both (preferably within the last couple months). Which one really does it for you, and why? Cheers!!
Couldn't disagree more. I've had 2 bottles of vanilla in the last 4 months, and both killed the rare I had alongside one of them. It wasn't bad, but the 2 vanillas I've had were superb.
Vanilla is more over the hill than Rare at this point. Had them both a couple times recently. Vanilla even tasted slightly oxidized the last time I had it.
I must have been drinking a different beer, because I've had BCBVS twice in the last 6 months and both times it has been incredible.
Agreed. If I was going after any past BCBS variants it would be Bramble. From what I've tasted, Vanilla is falling off but still good and Rare is awesome but not worth what people want for it
I've had Vanilla twice in the past year or so and both times it was a syrupy mess. While Rare may be heading over the hill, IMO it is holding up a lot better.
