So I am seeing a lot of Jai talk. I had a case and thought it was just good not great. I know everyone's taste is different but am I the odd man out hear in thinking its just good. Guess I'm going to have to give it another try.

The people who think its great. Is it readily available to you?

I felt the same, that Jai Alai was good not great. The white oak Jai Alai, however, I thought was amazeballs

I think it is very good. Not one I reach for at first but almost always if I have a second. It helps it is now readily available in NY.

Yes, it's amazing. I've had tons of IPA's and I can't quit her. I wonder how old the can was you had? Here in Florida it's readily available and I can often get cans that are within a week or so of canning. Incredible tasting!

I think it's great but everyone has a different palate. There's a lot of hype about Victory DirtWolf right now and I thought that it was mediocre. I only had it once on draft but I'm willing to give it another shot.

It's in my top 3 IPA's I can get in my area ( #1 is dirt wolf and #2 is two hearted)

It is a tasty IPA for sure but not super blown away by it.

I will say it may by TOO drinkable for 7.5% abv if that's even possible...

In my opinions yes it is freakin awesome. But since taste is subjective, I'm going to say that if you don't like it, please don't drink any more so there will be more for me.
Since CCB started canning it is becoming readily available in the SEPA region again. Another thing to add to my list of items to be thankful for this week.

That's what I was thinking to different strokes for different folks. I loved the dirt wolf. Blasted thru two cases. Now sat. night I had a growler of it and I wasnt really likening it like I did. It wasn't bad but it wasn't as good as I thought. Eagerly waiting for them to work out the kinks so I can try it again.

It's a good IPA, but certainly not as good as many of the other IPAs out there... heck even in Florida, it's arguably not even the best readily available IPA (See Centennial by Founders). That being said, different palates crave different beers. Thank goodness there are so many different options nowadays.

I find it to be drastically over rated. I recently had it fresh, and it had been a while since I had it, and this time around I didnt find it striking.
Is it worthy trying? sure, but I wouldnt kill anybody for it, thats for certain.

I thought the IPA is good, though I'd like to try more of it.

I didn't look for a date but it just hit the shelf that day. I don't think it could have been sitting at the distributor to long. It was my understanding that it pretty much just hit the market hard. I guess anything is possiable.
I'm going to try it again. There has been other times in my short career of drinking good beers that I didn't like something the first go around.

I think it is better than good, but not bitch-if-I-dont-get-it amazing. But I only get it when in Tampa's airport or in Miami. I prefer cans over draft. I like it more than two hearted... Which I also only get rarely.

What other IPAs do you drink?

Jai Alai did the same thing that Zombie Dust did......underwhelm.

But then I thought about it. IPA / DIPA is just a style that when done well, is just a solid beer. I just dont think the style can "amaze" the way some of the crazy aged / cellared / bourbon barrel stuff can.

Living on the west coast, I forget what a really bad IPA tastes like because stuff like Pliny, GF West Coast, Sculpin, etc. are avaiable everywhere I buy beer. So I hear about Jai Alai / Zombie dust and I think they will be crazy, but are really just good IPA from other parts of the country. If they were available here, I would certainly buy them but its hard to do something "crazy" with an IPA.

that said, I had a really piss poor IPA last week and was reminded how lucky I am to not have to drink crap IPA all the time.

LOL, I had bets that it would be a fellow Floridian that would call me crazy. Wasn't expecting it to be a Nebraskan. Who knows, maybe I'm just Jai Alaied out, I just find Centennial tastier
