    Anyone plan on doing this? I'm definitely going to do this within a week or so!

    Post your thoughts if you get this done.

    I was trying to compare these two, had the BW tonight and the Sucaba most recently this past weekend...
    Let us know what you think, both I think are great..

    Sucaba by a mile.

    Had both tonight but not at the same time. BCBW seemed maltier and perhaps a bit more flavorful. I had it before the Sucaba and referred to it as "Sucaba kicked up a notch".

    Nice! I wonder if the 3rd use barrels actually add more complexity. Haven't had a Barleywine yet, doing the good ole BCS tonight. I'll have one tmrw and by next weeks end have a side by side.

    What did you like better about the Sucaba? Sucaba is killer and I'm not sure if Bourbon County Barleywine will compete. We'll see!

    Fresh King Henry > BCBB > ? > Abacus. Still don't understand how AbacusSucaba is rated the way it is. Would love to see BCBB become the Steward of King Henry's rightful place on the throne. :slight_smile:

    They way I look at it something like this:

    BCBB=2 Year Old CW BBBW

    Bourbon County was good, Sucaba is far better.

    Thinking back to the multiple times I've had Sucaba, both draft and bottles, I would have to say I was more impressed by Sucaba. It just edges out BCBBW in my opinion. Somewhat different animals as far as I am concerned...

    I personally thought Central Waters BBBW was better than Sucaba...

    Plan on doing a side by side with BCBW soon.

    Sorry in advance for sounding snobby...but it would be helpful to hear your reasoning when making a comment like "sucaba>bcbb". What about it is better?

    Haven't had them side by side but I did have Sucaba about a month ago and had BCBBW today and I thought BC was much better. Very balanced with a great flavor and a well hidden ABV.

    Third Coast barrel aged? Sounds like it would be tasty but it's a little different and I think it's technically an old ale not Barleywine. In that case I think Old Stock is tastier than Third Coast. Would like to compare the barrel aged versions though.

    Sucaba to me was one of those mind f*^# kind of beers the first time I had. So given there are high expectations for the Barleywine, I hope it's as good as Sucaba. Don't doubt it might be but Sucaba is damn near perfect fresh.

    I've only had sucaba once about 3 months ago, and it was great, but I found BCBBW better. One of the best beers I've had actually.
