Thought I send along this tidbit from the goose tasting yesterday for those folks that didn't pay 82 bucks. A Chicago only proprietors brand BCS will be made every year from now on. Yey Chicago, yey beer.

And this is how the great city of Chicago met its demise. FIB on FIB violence increased as the rift between the haves and the have nots grew. It started with simple shankings but soon escalated to drive bys and the chemical warfare. The FIBs in Chicago talk their beer seriously, though they would find out too late they may have taken it a bit too seriously.

They also said coffee and barley wine will become a yearly four pack release, and next year there will be another fruited variant. Also Rare in 2015, but I'm pretty sure everyone has seen those pictures.

I bought one of those mini display tents for this reason. I'm just going to drop it off and save my place in line.

GI should change the name Proprietors to Entitled

And in 2015, change Rare to Common because the R word just drives people nuts.

Nope...my Illinois friends are great friends who share with me as I share Michigan beers with them. It's a vicious cycle.

Got a year to grease some palms, in the great Chicago tradition.

My understanding is that the Proprietors will be different each year, but still called Proprietors.

That is my understanding as well, I think the Beer Advocate page for this beer should read something like "Proprietors Bourbon County Stout - (Toasted?) Coconut". Could use or drop the 'toasted' part.

Are the "chunks" in Proprietor's reserve coconut flakes? That's what it looks like to me, but someone told me it was oil.

Brett Porter said they were oil. The coconut was filtered or centrifuged out or something.

...may as well just have ABInbev just start offering an option of garnishing salaries year round for everyone.
