Just curious as to what the BA community feels is the best value in the wild/sour realm of beer.

In my opinion, it lands square on the doorstep of Jolly Pumpkin's La Roja. Holy Moley, what a fantastic brew, and @ $13.75 for a 750 ml, I think it may be the best value in the realm, other than possibly Rodenbach.

    The answer is always Cantillon.

    I said value....

Cantillon is expensive, and while fantastically incredibly amazing and mind blowing...does not really fall into the category I'm discussing.

NG Wild Sour when it returns soon (hopefully) is the winner if you're close by.
Petrus Aged Pale too at about $7 for 750ml

Rodenbach Classic is definitely one of the cheapest sours I've encountered, IMO its worth the extra few bucks for Rodenbach Grand Cru which is also a pretty good deal.

Petrus Aged Pale is an excellent and very sour beer at $4-5 per 11.2 oz bottle.

Monk's Flemish Sour is also pretty cheap at $4-5 per 11.2 oz bottle.

They said value. Translation: cheap, but good. Cantillon is very good, but also pricey and hard to find in many states.

Nothing even comes close to this IMO. $10 for 4 12oz bottles, I mean seriously...

Not for $18 a bottle here in CO. But I bet you got a much better deal.

Rodenbach Grand Cru and Lindemans Cuvee Rene truly are the best values. Petrus aged pale is a good one too. Lindemans gets a bad wrap because their fruit lambics aren't good, but the Cuvee Rene is a damn solid beer and usually around $9.99 for a 750

You got robbed! $8.99 here in MI, $11.29 is the highest I have seen it here. I have seen La Follie for close to that though.

That's just how much it costs everywhere in CO. So yeah, NB is robbing their home base a bit.

That sucks man, that is a big margin. Some founders stuff gets priced cheaper in other states, but never that much of a difference from home base, thats just bad business.

Any NG wild ale or sour is the best deal the most expensive one was vsb and that was 9 bucks for a pint. They are pretty much all world class too you cannot beat that period.

This times a million. Really hope they bring it back next year, forgot to buy 4-pks, just a single; then it disappeared from shelves. Ugh!
