    Good morning, folks! Third shift here showing ya how AM drinking is done...

    Opened up a 2008 Tyranena Devil Over a Barrel and decided to try a little blending with some BCBS. About a 70/30 blend. Yum.

    I'm not a fan of Spoetzl Brewery but at less than $3 I'll give this a shot. It's an ale brewed with peaches and peaches are what you get! Not my thing, reminds me of peach soda. Drinking out of my Eisgrub-Brau glass, if anyone goes to Mainz Germany go to this brew pub!!! http://www.eisgrub.de

    This beer is great for cooking. I don't know where you are in TX, but if you get a chance, hide a bomber (or two bottles) of this and when you're in Austin, get some of the Wild Boar bangers at Dai Due at the Austin Farmers Market (or any fresh brat will work if need be). Sauté for 10 minutes then grill 5 minutes on each side. Make some caramelized onions and serve with a nice bun.

    That's just about my perfect food.

    Ah, you old salt you. I'm working on my 2nd, but I'm in for the long haul. Day shift and it's accompanying early wake up calls can suck a fat one. Enjoy your brews, then!

    I could have started this thread if I left work on time. I had to stay an extra 3 hours because one of the security guards couldn't make it through the snow storm. On the way home I got my G35 stuck and finally made it to the liquor store. Scored BCBS, BCBCS, BCBW, Backyard Rye, FBS, and Abrasive. Now its time for some damn coffee.
    It's way better fresh. The coffee in the 2012 faded too much.

    Ah, Founder's Breakfast Stout. Funny story about this beer, the first time I tried it (about 2 years ago) I merely thought it was "OK". At the time, I was not a big coffee drinker, and didn't appreciate the burnt notes and espresso flavors that nuance throughout the beer. Now, 2 years of graveyard shift coffee binges later, I'm both a roasted bean addict and have a much better tuned palate for a lot of stouts I didn't quite "get" beforehand. Now, this little gem is getting a rave review from yours truly. I picked up a 4 pack earlier this week based on just HOW MANY posts I see about this beer, and I'm glad I gave it a second go. Cheers!
