A thanks to the BA Community!

    Ladies & Gents,

    As many of you know I was in a near life ending car accident back in November and was told it would be almost a year before I was healed enough to return to work and 3 months before I would be able to walk again. However, despite this fact, I pushed myself to my limits to defy the odds and returned to work after only 3 months and 1 day from the date of my surgery. Since then I have continued to get back to normal and am now at ~90% of where I was before the accident. I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your thoughts, prayers, and well wishes that I have received during this rough spot in my life.

    Most importantly I want to thank all of the traders that I set up trades with during this recovery who have all shown extraordinarily patience throughout this time on our trades. Also, another thanks goes out to the individuals who got together and sent me a get-well-soon box which I received yesterday (5/3/12). Not sure who all of you were, but if it was you, post in here so that I can thank you properly. The box contents from yesterday's package was: Cantillon Classic Gueuze '10 375 mL, Cantillon Fou Foune '11, The Bruery Oude Tart, Bullfrog Bullfrog El Diablo Deluxe (#114 of 467), Triumph Belgian Sour Ale, and Ducato L'Ultima Luna (Riserva E. Dupont Calvados Barrel 2009). Thanks again for this kind gesture as it will not go unappreciated.

    The amount of generosity that exists in the BA community is overwhelming at times. The story of your accident was one of the very first posts I read when I became active on the forums. I'm glad to hear that you're very well on your way towards complete recovery. Cheers!

    I know that my good friend aasher added the Ducato L'Ultima Luna (Riserva E. Dupont Calvados Barrel 2009) to the box and also shipped the box out to me. Other than that, I have no idea who submitted the beers as it went to another BA in Indiana and was retreived by Al to ship to me...

    Great story, Awesome job getting back to work so quick, and back to 90% so soon! Best wishes on a speedy recovery to 100%! And great job on the box whoever sent it!

    Glad to hear you are doing so well, Calton. I know Allison is really looking forward to dancing with you at our wedding later this month. That was your true motivation, wasn't it? In all seriousness I am really happy you are doing so well! We'll be seeing you soon!

    Haha! What can I say, you caught me... Really looking forward to being there along with Zack to celebrate a special event in two people who I honestly care about's life. CAN'T WAIT! Plus she pressured me into it ever since the day Allison visited me in the hospital, so I was definitely motivated. See you guys there!

    If you sent beers to a particular Indianapolis BA for Calton then let me know and I'll try to figure out what happened to them. I originally declined to send stuff in this "community" box since i sent Calton a box anyway. I'm pretty sure the five bottles that aren't the L'Ultima Luna came from two BAs.

    After some investigation by Al, we have found out two of the people who sent me stuff in that box... I would like to give a big thanks to ShadesofGrey and Chase2634 for contributing to this box and helping make my bitter sweet comeback that much sweeter! Thanks guys!
