This is what I was going to recommend. It's ~$10 for a four pack around here, which I think makes it per-ounce the cheapest barrel-aged beer I can get (except Innis & Skunnk).

I am a big fan of Weyerbacher Blasphemy and here in PA, the overpriced beer capital of the USA, it's $8 a bomber at the grocery store. It's damn good and 11.8% so it does the job

Buy some whole coffee beans, soak in bourbon, then french press a beer through it (porter, RIS, etc.). You have to invest in the bourbon, but a bottle of Buffalo Trace will run you about $20.00

I'm sure it's just as delicious as Platinum and Black Crown!

Pretty decent for the money and it sits aging (and collecting dust) on the shelves of Meijer stores all over MI. 4pk is about $14 on sale. If they changed the label to Founders or Bells, this would be flying off the shelves.

Big baptist is awesome and at $10 a bomber it's cheap-er.

You're probably not alone, but I definitely got bourbon. Just depends on everyone's different palate is all. I've had beers where I thought they were super bourbon/whiskey/brandy forward and a friend didn't think so.

Paid 47$ a month back for a bottle of BT. You Americans have noooo idea how lucky you are with your liquor taxes. Sure we can drink when were 18-19, but who has the money to ?. :stuck_out_tongue:

Find a bottle of bourbon. Pour two-three shots into any beer you want to be "barrel aged"

Alltech does have a Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout that's in season now.

I had half a mind to buy that and Dragon's Milk, but then I got BCBS.
