thanks Gunhaver! hopefully there is a ton of it like there was last year. it was one of the first barrel aged beers that gave me thw wow factor of what barrel aging can do to a beer. cant wait to get some when they are released.

I'm sure CCB will release it once someone from a different state posts on the Facebook page requesting them to on a very specific date.

Any chance that it will be ready in the near future?

I think it's been in barrels since 9/16, so i'd imagine we are getting fairly close.

Last time it was released it was available in the tasting room for awhile, seriously probably close to a month. And it was on draught for quite some time as well. It was amazing. Sadly, I don't know if it will last as long this go around, but it sure would be nice.

I'm not sure, they always make a shitton of BA Big Sound and it's a regular release that won't have the newness factor going for it. Scotch ales aren't a hot style either.

Marshall Zhukov's sold out in one day at the brewery this past release, when it used to sit on shelves for months.

Scotch ales aren't a hot style, sure, but people chased Backwoods Bastard to no end a few months back. If/when BA Big Sound is released again, i expect it will be a shit show that goes very quickly. It's not lasting a month, not even a week or a few days IMO.

This is the way beer goes these days.

Zhukov went in a day because of the tiny batch and all the traders with Catador discounts stocking up to send out boxes. Brown had Backwoods available to order for several weeks, and I expect BA Big Sound to also stick around for several weeks, especially since it'll likely be 20 bucks for 650ml as opposed to Backwoods 15 bucks for a four-pack.

We'll see. I hope you are right, but my guess is it will be gone in days, not weeks.

I need it in my life. BA Scotch ales are consistently my favorite style.
