Zhukov is about gone from all shelves in the area. GGA is long gone, but they may still find regular Good Gourd around.

 

good gourd almighty wasnt released into distribution. it was catador onlya nd probaly only a couple cases hit the tasting room.

as far as zhukov and good gourd, they are most likely long gone unless someone has some in the back they have not put out yet. MZ was around last year until like February, but this year it came and went within a couple days of the first roudn of distribution, then lasted about a month after the second wave hit.

 

Correct me if I am wrong but wasnt there less MZ into distro this year because they made some of it into Cafe Americana(o)sp ?

 

yes gene i believe you are correct. but i think they did brewed another batch. the tasting room had it for a lot logner period durin gthe second wave and stores had it much longer as well.

 

Not sure of total bottle count but they did make a second batch to account for Cafe.

 

yeah there was more Zhukov's made this year than the previous year.

 

I saw some Cucumber Saison at Total Wine down the street from CCB, last week, but it may be gone, also it might be a little past its prime

 

Actually, we tried some that was a year old a few months back and aside from being a lot more carbed, the flavor was still there. I think the use of cucumber essence instead of fresh veg assists in that (correct me if I'm wrong).

 

In 4-packs you might be able to find White Oak Jai Alai, Jose Marti Porter, or Cubano Espresso.

Saisons, while lower in ABV by some beer style standards, actually cellar very well. I have some that have "best by" dates that are over 5 years after they were bottled.

 

I suppose I should have said it was over the hill based on my personal preferences

second! WOB is having an event on the 21st and are gonna have white oak there..i cant wait to get some of this!

 

I know White Oak is due back in January. Any chance it comes a little early like last year? White Oak cans would fit nicely at the Christmas dinner table.

 

I'm very familiar with the style, but was referencing the cucumber part of this particular saison. I have a few Fantome bottles from 05-07 hanging out for a rainy day.
