At 6:00 am sharp. We will be passing out order forms in numerical order (i.e if you are the first person in line…your order form will have a #1 on it, if you are the 66th person in line…your order form will have a #66 on it, etc.).This will give you time to look over and fill out your order form for beers that you would like to purchase. We will also be taking care of cover charge at this time…if you are not dressing up as your interpretation of an elf (free) it will be $5.00 and you will get a bracelet for the event. We will also be selling beer tickets (cash or credit) during this time. 1 ticket for $4.25 = 1 beer or 5 tickets for $21.00 = 5 beers.

At 7:00 am sharp, we will begin processing order forms in numerical order at the garage door in the Beer Garten.A staff member will be at the order processing table to ensure orders that are processed are in numerical order, so there are no cuts in line.Once your order is processed, you will have a copy of your order and your order # (please keep that with you at all times and do not lose it)…after that you will have time to do what you please!!!Both the Taproom and General Store will be open at 7:00 am, so you can check out those places, go and take a nap, explore downtown Marshall, grab a coffee, whatever you would like.Once you handed in your order and it is processed it will be sent to the cooler to be built!!!You will pay for your order when you pick it up (cash or credit).

Doors for the actual 4 Elf Party will open at 11:00 am!!!Make sure you wear your bracelet if you prepaid!!!The cover charge is $5.00 or free to those who come dressed as their interpretation of an elf.Don’t forget to bring your copy of your order form with order #!!!!At 11:00 am we will begin order payments and pick up.We will begin this process in order # sequence. For example from 11:00 am to 11:30 am we will be taking payments (cash or credit card) and order pick-ups for order #’s 1 – 20.There will be a sign and announcements throughout the day letting customers know when they are able to pick-up and pay for their order to reduce time waiting in line!!!This will take place outside the production facility (southside) at our cooler garage door.We will also allow you to pull your car around to that area to load your order, if need be.Please be aware that you do not have to stand in line all day!!!!Order numbers ready for pick up will be announced throughout the day!!!So….please enjoy the party!!!The beer you are purchasing has to do with your order number and not you standing in line!!!!

6am is the soonest you can get an order form
7am is the soonest you can place your order
11am is the soonest you can pay for & pick up your order

Thank you for the clarification; the graphic on the webpage was a bit confusing.

I was in line at the Binny's LP on Black Friday at 2:30am and managed to be #19 in line...so I guess I'll be there right about the same time? Although there was no bottle sharing going on at Binny's - but I'm planning on bringing a bunch of stuff to share. Anyone who has an extra bottle of Boris Van Winkle, I'd be up for a trade. See everyone in 8 days!

I have not seen this brought up yet in this thread so I will ask...

What's a good time to show up at to get some bourbon barrel plead the 5th?

I will probably show up around 2 am. Think this is early enough?

Ugh! With all this talk of showing up so early I guess I will be skunked again. There are over 600 cases people. I wish the limits were reduced to 1 case this year.

The numbers for this release are huge. Even if every person bought their full allotment, which will not happen, about 320 people would get Plead. In all likelihood, we are talking something like 400-450 people getting bottles at least. Things will be fine. Nobody should be concerned that showing up at 3 or 4 risks leaving empty handed. This crazy earliness talk seems uneccesary.

If I go early (and likely will), it's more just to hang with the other die-hard idiots in line. My friend and I will be bringing beer and food to get through the night/morning, so flag me down if you need a snack or sip.

If you show up at 10:00, the chances of getting at least a case of BBPT5 are very, very good. Please don't start lining up at 2:00...and as far as bottle shares go, I don't think DH is going to let you in the beer garden if you line up at 2:00, and there is no drinking in the parking lot (PLEASE respect that)...

So what happens between the time you get your order form and the time you turn it in?
Do you just ponder for an hour what beers you want? Then they come around and collect to forms? Or do you turn the form in somewhere?

Based on what DH has put online you have an hour to ponder the universe & how much of the allotment you want to fill then at 7am someone shows up to take your order & send it off to be filled. After that you are free to do whatever until 11am when the party starts & they start filling orders/taking payments

I'm showing up at 5am, regardless of how many people who claim they're showing up at 10pm. It's going to be below freezing overnight and there is simply no beer that is worth waiting all that time for. And I'm looking forward to the party- that should be a blast!

Under Early Risers on the 4 Elf Event page.

"Please begin line in the Beer Garten. Feel free to make your spot comfortable in line, share homebrews (in the Beer Garten/line areas only) and stories. The line formation will run throughout the Beer Garten and out past the eastern gate. Please refrain from alcohol consumption in any parking lots. "

As far as beer sharing, are people interested in trying homebrews? I was thinking about bringing a RIS and a Bourbon Oak Aged Barleywine that I'm extremely happy with, along with a couple commercial bottles, but wasn't sure whether people are interested in homebrews when there are commercial ticks to be had all over the place.

My 2 cents on when to get in line, take it for what it is worth. I am not going this year, so I wont lie to you to keep you from going earlier and getting in line in front of me.

Last year I got there at 9 am and was 200th in line when they were handing out tokens at 11 am. I got everything I wanted, and I think I could have got a full allotment of everything. It is impossible to say what is going to happen because they are doing things different this year. No one knows when you can show up and still get what you want, because it is impossible to know. Now you probably don't need to get there the night before, but I would recommend getting there by 4 or 5 based on previous experiences. If you want to go the night before, more power to you and dress warm.

Also, if there is enough to go around if you go late, why are there so many people adamant that others shouldn't line up early. Why do they care. Something to think about. Sorry, just being realistic.

My rule of thumb is don't go to a popular bottle release unless you can afford to go home with nothing. Go for the event, and the bottles are a bonus. It will set your soul free.

Also, people who are waiting overnight for this: beware and be forewarned that at any time, Dark Horse can possibly reduce the allotments based on the amount of people that show up. They almost did this last year with BBPT5, but didn't want people to get too butthurt. I could see them doing it this year, though.

If it were me and I wanted the focus to be on the party itself (which they have stated many times), I'd put the allotment of BBPT5 at 1 case each. 650+ people would be able to get their share and not have any issue.
1 case of a superb bourbon barrel stout is still enough for you FIBs, amiright?
