huh, crazy me, when i look at the abv on the label i'm usually wondering if it's too high. never though someone would consider it too low to consume.

quite a difference between a session beer and a flagship beer honestly. but sorta more on the topic, I actually find my beer drinking going full circle. im revisiting some of the classics that got me into craft and finding them quite enjoyable.

your definition of session is completely ridiculous.
other than that, good for you.

Yup. At ~9-10 drinks per day, taking just a few days off can be hellish.

I went through that phase almost 10 years ago. Now I just drink what satisfies my desires, is reasonably priced, and I can easily obtain. Most of the beers I drink are in the 5.5% - 8% abv range.

So you just drink half as many in a session...

Then there are a lot of beers you'll never appreciate properly. Many beers you need to drink four or five pints of in a session to really get the taste of them. It's true as much of a German Helles as it is a Mild or and Ordinary Bitter. They taste better and more complex the more you drink of them. Unlike high-octane beers that just destroy your palate and leave you incapable of tasting anything that isn't ridiculously intensely flavoured. Just because a beer is more intense, doesn't make it more complesx.

There is Founders All Day IPA, so correct, there is no more need for new session beers

It's actually a revelation when you drink a few pints. They seem to put on weight as you go on.You don't feel the need or desire to move on to something else. What's called moreishness. Those who haven't experienced a well made session beer under these circumstances can't understand what it's like.

If you are paying $10.99/6pk, you are paying too much. I generally can find All Day IPA 12pks on sale for less than $15.00. At that price, they make a tasty alternative to BMC adjuncts for social events and outdoor activities.

That is certainly a better price point. But I can get Sam Adams or Fat Tire for cheaper still, which offers a nice alternative to BMC.

    Thread not killed.

I'd much rather drink Yeungling than Fat Tire, but that is just personal preference (and not saying much )
