I thought it was a one time trial run of 60 cases but I could be wrong . It was not available last time i was at Peppercorns.

They were stacked high at Blanchard's in Marshfield this weekend (4packs of 16oz cans with what my daughter called the "evil smiley face" wrapped around). It's the first time I've tried it and I was hooked.

Picked up a 4 pack yesterday. Decent IPA, nothing that pushes my hop buttons too hard but had a nice drinkable balance. But at $13.50 six pack equivalent I don't think I'll be buying more. Oh well, it was worth a shot - and is a decent fallback when found on tap.

I did notice that they say they use Falconer's Flight hops - so I guess that's going to change to something else since that hop blend has been discontinued.

I'm not a fan of wrapped cans - I like to indent the top of the can underneath the opening for better flow and the wrapping gets in the way - and my 2 yr. son was scared of the evil smiley face.

i feel like $12 is completely fair for a 4 pack of 16 oz cans. remember its going through a distributor and then retail after leaving the brewery, plus 3 bucks for 16oz vs 8 for 22 is an amazing price drop

Picked up a 4-pack today. Great first few sips a la HT, then reverts to normal-ness. Decent beer.
    $10.79 for me.

I saw some of these today and didn't see a date on the cans. The bombers usually had the month listed. I'm sure they are fresh but I prefer a date to ensure freshness.

Agreed. I was told this recent batch was canned around 11/26, and they certainly taste that way.

I've had a hard time finding this anywhere near fresh for a while, so I was stoked to pick some up today (at Martignettis in Brighton). Great stuff.

Really? I think the price is terrible after finally picking up a 4pack this weekend. If it were Heady staus then I wouldn't mind but I don't think it was much better than the $13 12-packs of Celebration I've been buying.

I appreciate them cutting the price in half from bomber to cans, but still a bit overpriced. Larry 6ers are only $10 - that's my benchmark these days.

I feel like they're a little closer to $11. Either way, we're arguing about $1-$2 and 8 ounces. I'll gladly buy $12 Be Hoppy 4 packs...beats the hell out of the way things used to be.

Also, FWIW, my 4 packs were $11

$10 is definitely a common price point, though I have seen them for $11 also.

Unfortunately, $12 for 64-72oz is becoming the norm for premium IPAs (Flower Power, Union Jack, Hoponious (was $12/64, now $11/72 at the brewery))--Larry seems to be the exception rather than the rule. The better, fresher IPAs are worth the $2-3 premium over the typical craft 6pk price, IMHO. And I'm a cheap bastard that loves me some SN Celebration.

Talking beer prices can be weird, because the difference between a $10 6pk and a $12 6pk is small on an absolute basis ($2) but big on a relative basis (20%). C'est la vie.

I enjoy observing the dichotomy of people on BA nitpicking a dollar here and there for four packs but then the total disregard for money when it comes to the "value" of the increasingly frequent "limited releases" in the larger formats that people purchase en masse, not to mention the opportunity/travel costs embedded. Not an indictment of either group, but it is humorous.

On topic, when I see Be Hoppy cans in Western MA, I will purchase.
