I'm at work, options are limited! Work at a wholesaler though so this is the more acceptable 'malt'ernative.

 

Not a zingy punch line, but this weekend I guess my father-in-law asked my wife why I left the vacation home after everyone was asleep/in PJs for the night to drive 30 minutes into another state to try a beer(s) that are not distributed outside that state.

"Is he trying to impress a co-worker or something?"

 

When out of town, you know better bottle shops/bars than most locals.
You're disappointed if you see a bottle of IPA older than two weeks at a brewery.

 

... if your thoughtful and well-intentionned comments are delivered with good healthy dose of snark and sarcasm.

 

... If you make a decent salary but seem to have more beer then money

 

... If your wife asks you if you love beer more then her...and you pause before responding!

 

not us americans. we're assholes and all up in everyone's business.

...if you just spent $30 on a single bottle of beer and can't wait to get home to put it in the cellar so you can look at it again in a couple of years.

 

Hah, this made me laugh . Self-deprecating humor is the best.

 

It's sad that plenty of these could be re-written as "You might be a BA if... you completely forget your manners and become a total dick when beer's involved."

I sincerely hope there's a lot more self-deprecating humor going on in this thread than my presently non-caffeinated brain can pick up on right now.

Your friends at the pub think you're one of those a-holes who texts all night and ignores the present company, but really you're just taking tasting notes.

 

You might be a BA if you think the term "ticker" doesn't refer to someone with tourettes syndrome.
