New breweries distributing in the Triangle in '14?

    I've heard we can expect to see Cigar City, Sixpoint, and Firestone Walker hitting the Triangle in 2014; anyone know of any others?

    I've heard these (and other) breweries were coming to NC for the past several years. A lot can happen so I won't believe it until I can buy them. For example a deal was signed to bring Cigar City here around 3-4 years ago and then the distributor went out of business.

    That said we do seem to pick up a few great new breweries every year so I wouldn't be surprised (or upset) if some/most of these do happen.

    FW has agreed to begin NC distribution in 2015

    The guys from Sixpoint were in Sam's last Monday, surrounded by reps from several distributors; so I'd say that one looks like it might happen.

    I've heard Deschutes is eyeballin' our state too.

    I have heard FW, Deschutes, and Odell. Quite a potpourri of rumors!

    Take it FWIW - Just got an e-mail from CCB. They said that the rumors have teeth for NC in 2014.

    Ummm, wow, I hope what you've heard is correct. I'd honestly just take Odell and be happy forever. They would be the least likely since they only go as far east as Minnesota and Texas (as of Jan.). BUT I know they've increased their capacity recently...

    Love his thread. Literally my top 4 of 5 (Founders in there) breweries are on here: the 3 mentioned above and Troeg's. Add Cigar City potentially (loved Jai Alai)? Best beer state ever if these happen in the next year or two. I do expect to see all of this happening honestly, since all but Odell are in neighboring states. No more of asking my mom and mother-in-law to mule beer when they drive here.
