New Year Beer Resolutions (2014)

Don't go broke. Visit Freetail Brewery. Try something, anything from Side Project.

 

Stop buying beer every time I go to the store.
Stop making up reasons to go to the store to buy beer.
No trading.
Slow down ratings so that I buy sixes instead of bombers.
Drink all the beer there is.
Rate all the beer there is.

. . . oh dear those last two.

 

I probably say this every year, but hopefully I get it right this time: do less drinking alone at home and more out with friends and acquaintances.

 

My resolution is to spend less on beer. But like all resolutions, it ain't gonna last long!

 

Homebrew more

 

1. I resolve to seek out and buy even more great ale and consume it with thoughtful respectful contemplation. Then I will occasionally pass on my surreal and sometimes disturbing comments to helpless BA readers.

2. Yes dear, I WILL buy more chalices and tulips etc.

3. I will figure out how to consistently post a GD MF-ing photo.

 

Oh, that'll work for me, too. Maybe even with some Skype sessions (although that makes it impossible to share). Let's just make it 'being more social' and go from there...

May easily solve the "spending less money on beer" predicament...
(unless of course my beer comes out horrible)

 

Try to find and/or trade for 2-4 of the Top 25.
Try every Bomb that Prairie Artisan bottles in 2014.
Try every Territorial Series that COOP bottles in 2014.
Continue to support the new and well established/respected local brewers in OK.
Keep trying new things.

 

Settle down: stop ticking and enjoy a 6er from time to time. And buy less beer/whittle down the amount in the cellar.

Side note, did not make any resolutions for this year, but id say i have completly exceeded any expectations. Hoping for the same next year.

 

Try to revisit some personal favorites instead of wanting to try a new beer almost every night.

Attempt to cut back on the beer budget, but no promises there.

 

I've been into craft beer for the past 6-7 Years now and the magic of it all has sort of fizzled out for me. Finding particular beers, winter seasonals and being excited to try them for the first time, all that excitement. Kind of a "been there, done that" kind of feeling. This year I would like to make it out to more local breweries and do day trips with my buddies in the name of beer! I also want to do more homebrewing.

 

Spend more money on beer! My oldest kid will finally be in school and out of daycare. That will free up some cash!

Start drinking more beers from my cellar, I have a hoarding problem.

 

I'm not sure I like this resolution.
