This one is actually a lot better than I expected after the banana peanut butter version. I wouldn't buy is again, but I am glad I tasted it!

    Cheers!

The wife and I are moving back to the States next July. Most states will allow booze and wine to be shipped back but not so much for beer. Between Cantillon, Boon, Tilquin and others I have 44 lambics that need to be drank in the next 8 months. Got started yesterday with a Mamouche.

Drinking this today while making a pot of gumbo. Cheers!

Homebrewed Porter. A higher final gravity than I wanted but it is not sweet at all. Strange. Must have been a mash issue? Anyway..
Tasty chocolate erased by clean cold black malt. Really creamy finish. Black as a new moon night.
    Cheers

Wu-Tang Forever! one of my favorite concerts was seeing Wu back in Maryland in 1997, I think.

I am having He'Brew Jewbelation Reborn (17) right now. It is okay, but at 17% and 22oz of it, I am going to be drinking it a for a few hours....Talk about one and done.

Edit: Shit, I am going to have to use a snow blower later too. Safety first. I better have a more sessionable beer first to counteract the effects of this beer.

I came home early because of the snow, expecting to go back out. Turns out my RWD sedan couldn't make it up the driveway. Rather than leave it in the road to get snow- (or car-) plowed, I banked it into the front yard, where it awaits a friend to come help me tow it up the driveway. Needless to say, I'm not going anywhere for the rest of the day.

I decided that a winter warmer would suffice while I waited. (Wantonly waging a war of words with alliterative ways was unintentional...initially.) This is my first go at Goose Island's Big John, and it happens to be from December, 2012. Let me say, this is a fantastic, awesome double stout; don't overlook it just because of its bourbon cousins (or bourbon big brothers, to return to a theme which has surely overstayed its welcome by now).

Maybe it's time to buy an AWD car. Then again, if I HAD an AWD car, I'd be either at work or at a medical appointment, and therefore not enjoying this lovely stout, so....ehh, we'll call this one a wash.

This just seemed appropriate today. Probably my favorite of the very popular Gymnopedies. Those three pieces have heavily influenced my own music over the last three years or so.

    A votre sante!

Bizarrely, I saw Wu Tang many years ago in Florida, when they opened for Rage Against the Machine. It was a truly odd crowd; about half of them left after Wu, not liking rock or metal at all. Similarly, easily half of the RATM crowd could not have possibly cared less about Wu being there.

Just a really weird show. I couldn't really appreciate Wu at the time, though. Rage was pretty good.

That's almost as funny as when they put Tila Tequila in an ICP gig, Don't know why they would put them together.
