Not really a fan of black IPAs and I've never had a white IPA...i know its not the season for them but does anyone like this style and have any names they would recommend

New Belgium Accumulation is good in my opinion. It won't blow you away but I have been enjoying the six pack I picked up.

Saranac White IPA and Sam Adams Whitewater IPA are two pretty easy to find ones that are pretty tasty and cheap. Whitewater gets mixed reviews but I really liked it. I haven't tried, but have heard good things about Deschutes Chainbreaker.

The only black IPA I've had is Bitter Neighbor. I know that's not what the discussion is about but I have to put that in there. Love that beer. Wish there were others like it available to me.

Anchorage Galaxy White IPA is my benchmark for the style. Fascinating beer. I would drink it often, if it were more readily available.

I really love white IPA's but don't much care for black IPA's. New Belgiums Winter seasonal Accumulation is awesome and easy to find.

Just had the Lab Rat by CCB and it is very good. They had it for growler Tuesday so of course I had to grab one.

I'm still kinda confused over the whole "White IPA" movement.. it seems unnecessary. It should just be under the Belgian IPA banner, IMO..

Saranacs White IPA is actually pretty damn tasty. I was pretty surprised when i tried it. The only saranac where i dont cringe at the thought of buying. Availability and price makes this one a sure hit

Just read somewhere that White IPA is another term for Belgian IPA. Can't remember where but I just read that today.

I look at a "White IPA" as a hopped up witbier, which is technically different from a Belgian IPA.. I suppose there are some differences, but it just seems like a stretch and a gimmick..

You just read this today, but can't remember where? Sounds like you started hitting the White IPA's early then . Seriously though, they are very different types of beer. A Belgian yeast strain changes everything.

I thought Accumulation was solid, and opposite of many seasonals at this time of year, but I'd rather enjoy that in the summer.

Yeah what I thought I had read was that a white IPA utilized belgian yeast.
