Just took a look at my back account and....yikes.

Being in MI...this month hit me hard....BCBS release, 4elf, Kuhnhenn Winter Solstice, amazing Short's releases, time off to go to Chicago and pick up some Half Acre/Pipeworks/Revolution/FFF. With Hopslam and hopefully Black Note coming out next month...things don't look to get much better...

Any particular times of the year that really hurt your bank account???

This end of the year so far was pretty bad with Founders backstage and BCBS; and then the t-day/xmas holidays include me going to Ohio to see and stay at my parents house. So that opens up more reasons for me to make hauls with new brewers showing up there. I am not good with restrained shopping. Thank god I can do my taxes at the turn of the year and get some more money :stuck_out_tongue:

I think it's always around the "holidays" and I'm pretty sure that's not an accident!

Only in months that end in Y. And H. And L. And E. And T. And R. Otherwise, I'm good.

This past month has been brutal for me. BCBS and Abrasive are the two big ones that I have dropped cash on. The entire winter becomes BA stout season around here...KBS, CW BBS, BBBW and peruvian morning being some of the big ones for me and i just keep shelling out cash. Then stuff like hopslam will hit and i will be out more money. First world problems really.

Never really seems to let up but Nov-Dec is always the worst for me too. BCBS and variants, Founders Backwoods Bastard and Backstage Series, FW Anniversary, and Lagunitas Sucks to name a few culprits.

When Datkness is released. I load up. Drink a few and trade the rest. The Bourbon County release hit my wallet pretty hard

Now, BCBS and variants + Black Friday tasting burned a hole in my pocket. After all my travels and beer trades trying to acquire more, I might be down a few $$$. Damn, is that bad?

I don't buy beer unless my finances allow it. There is no excuse for becoming a derelict!

I started drinking alot of cheap adjunct lagers last Spring to save money but the deal I made with myself was that once baseball season was over I would go back to drinking only craft beer and since November 1st I have probably spent a thousand dollars on beer. I am going to try and keep to a hundred dollars a week from now until April 1st when I will probably go back to Naragansett and Genesee during the week and drinking craft only on weekends.

I am also a regular whisky drinker and to avoid going broke I drink cheap blended Scotch during the week and Single Malts only on weekends. I also switch to Bourbon during baseball season as it quite a bit cheaper than Scotch.

Pretty much every time I go to Hill Farmstead... every couple weeks it ends up being around $350 there and another $100 at the co-op and $XXX for however much heady topper I can buy which is generally a mystery now that you can only get from local businesses. I could probably solve some of the worlds problems with how much I have spent on beer lol
