Founders Imperial Stout (2014)

Cannot imagine you would be disappointed with it at all, unless you don't like stouts (which, I'm assuming you do since you like FBS, heh).

 

This post literally makes zero sense unless my sarcasm monitor is low.

 

I am not a coffee drinker primarily because I don't drink caffeine, but partly because I'm not a huge fan of the flavor. Having said that, I strongly prefer FIS over FBS.

I can't wait until FIS hits shelves in Ohio!

 

I.... don't get it either, guess I'll just blame my cat for that one.

 

I bet this hits shelves here in town next week when I'm stuck on a Cruise ship in the Caribbean..

I stalked up and drank it all year long, can't wait for the side by side in the next few weeks. For me Doris and Yeti are the only stouts close.

 

this just arrived here, and i was not prepared for how big of a beer this is. great stuff, i can see why some would consider it their favorite non-ba stout.

 

Damn it! Between this and Hopslam January's beer budget is blown. This is after spending $200 at 4 Elf. Time to pimp out my wife. LOL

 

The '11 FIS is amazing right now

 

I drank one of my few remaining Sierra Nevada Narwhals last night and am now on the fence as to my favorite non regional fairly accessible RIS.. Hopefully this is easier to get than the SN this year

 

The Narwhal isn't in the same league as The Founders RIS.

 

Well I just had my first bottled Atwater VJ Black tonight, and can safely say that doesn't compete with either, despite being probably the best Atwater beer I can think of

 

I didn't realize this wasn't year round. My local shit turd bar that has a horrible takeout selection manages somehow to always have this. Maybe theyre not that bad after all. But ya, for the price point, fuckin aye man.

Very nice. One of my local shops has not moved some of this off their shelves with bottles dates of 12/??/12. I have one for sure from 2012. I believe were both bottled in 2012 though. I look forward to trying 2014. I will have to do a vertical of them.

 

Love FIS more than FBS. FBS is very good but a tiny bit thin and too much coffee.
My fave non-ba stouts are FIS and ten fidy. Love me some ten fidy.

This is what I was wanting to hear. Not a fan of that coffee flavor either good to know it's got a better flavor than the BS
