I had one the day it arrived at my beer store and it was stellar!!! I had one last night and it tasted slightly soured to me. I was many beers in at that point last night and am hoping it was just my wrecked palate. I have a lot of bottles of this beer in my basement. Really hoping this one doesn't have infection issues. Side note: Drinking a Sucaba right now, first ever taste of it and its delicious!!! Goddam I love a well made beer!!

I still haven't seen it in MN but it just landed at Cassanova's in Hudson. Two four pack limit and it looks like they got a dozen cases or so.

Keyport liquor in Superior. I haven't had another one yet but I'm sure it was just that my palate was wrecked. I should have tried another before even posting that.

Saw this when I was on a beer run to Hudson yesterday at Cassanova's but at $15.99 a 4 pack decided to pass. Lost confidence in CW after a recent drain pour of Peruvian Morning and some other disappointing beers from them. No problem paying that for GI BCS but not CW.

Thank you. The less people buying Central Waters wonderful barrel-aged beers, the better!

And I hope $15.99 isn't the new price point. Part of the beauty of the series has always been the relative bargain for how good they are (at least compared to other, similar beers).

Was $14.99 in Eau Claire, WI last week. I think I remember paying $11.99 or $12.99 last year?

I picked up several 4-packs of CW BB Stout in the Twin Cities last year for $10.99 each. I would pass at $15.99 as well. I used the much less expensive CW BB Stout to help extend my BCBS supply. It isn't nearly as good as BCBS, in my opinion, but it was a good value at $10.99.

Yes apparently the lower priced BA stouts are not much lower anymore. I do the same so I don't drink all my BCBS. I guess this year I will buy less.

I picked up a four pack in Wausau this weekend for $10.99. This after picking one up at Casanova's for $15.99 on my way out. (face palm)

Grrrr. First Abyss going to $17.99 a bomber and now this. That's a 40% price increase on CW stuff. Supply and demand I guess.

Drinking one now... Went through two cases of this last year... Will only go through one bottle this year. Thinner than I remember with muted flavors. I'm disappointed because historically this is one of my absolute favorites.

I had a bottle of this years the other day and though is was quite good. I still have 12 bottles from last year. I think maybe I will put them side by side this weekend and see what happens

This might have the great price point, but just falls way short of what I look for in a good BA Stout - starting with the body.

CW Bourbon Barreled Barleywine is phenomenal, IMO.
I actually prefer it over the Bourbon
    County Barleywine.

Couldn't agree more CW crushes GI in this category.
