Why waste your time? This may be the most overrated beer on this site.

I wouldn't even put that in my top 5 Stone beers.

Lemme add to this folderol by saying that Stone tends to be overrated in general.

pfffft.... i don't think you know what you are talking about. #1 i have been to NY and NJ in the last year and saw outstanding selections including cali brews.

there is so much outsanding beer we dont get in cali. yes we get plenty of stone, lagunitas, fw, bear republic but... those companies all distribute out east as well.

no founders, no bells, no odell's, no schlafly, no smutty nose, no alchemist --- tons and tons. we can only get west coast beers for the most part. victory is out here. the bruery. i see some lakefront....

basically you can get most of "my" beer, but i can't hardly get any of "yours."

    not fair i tell ya.

no alchemist is everywhere unless you happen to be one of the 12 stores in northern VT that get distribution.

In reality no body in the north east has much to complain about.

I'd say they are the most overrated brewery on this site in my opinion.
    1) Smoked Porter w/vanilla bean
    2) Double Bastard
    3) Smoked Porter
    4) Oaked Arrogant Bastard
    5) Pale Ale
    6) Imperial Russian Stout
    7) RuinTen
    8) Ruination
    9) Lukcy Basartd
    10) Arrogant Bastard
    11) Enjoy By

I've never been able to understand the hype with this one, and I really don't even waste my time with it. Really, I only would consider buying the first 5 and Dayman (not a Stone original).

I have had most if not all of those beers and would rather have a fresh bottle of "Enjoy By" than any of those listed. This makes me wonder what dates you've tried. I tried one of the early 2013 bottles and, while I thought that it was good, it didn't wow me like the most recent version that I've tried - 11/12/13 - was just an incredible DIPA on so many levels.

I would bet he has had everything, he just likes stouts and porters better than IPAs by his list. He seems to know stone's line-up pretty well.

What's funny is that stouts and porters are far from my favorites. I like IIPAs, barleywines, old ales and scotch ales the best. Stone's Smoked Porter with and without vanilla bean are excellent in my opinion.

I think I've gotten it at Wegmans and the Hopewell Buyrite for around $7, but it's been a little while.

Yeah, good point. "Enjoy By" is currently the #27 DIPA in the world on BA with some of the best beers regardless of style above it on that list, so I think that many craft beer drinkers on this site would find it a little bit kooky to say that Stone has five much less ten other beers better than this one.
