    These days,

    Lagunitas
    Sierra Nevada
    Flying Dog

I used to live in VA and I'm really missing Founder's distribution. They were a true go-to for a while.

Mine happen to be mostly California as well (and they're usually available in PA):
Stone (Imperial Russian Stouts, Woot Stout)
    Sierra Nevada (Narwhal)
North Coast (Old Rasputin, Old Stock Ale)
    Alesmith (Speedway Stout)

And one from my home state of Michigan:
    Founders! (mostly anything they make)

Interesting. Twice a year, we drive thru Poncha on our way to Breck and we always stop for a pint at Elevation. Both my wife and I find ourselves consistently underwhelmed. What beers top your list?

    Sierra Nevada
    Sam Adams
    Blue Moon (coors)

For something that is readily available, I love Ballast Point. Their Sculpin IPA and Victory at Sea porter are two of my favorite examples of the styles and they are usually readily available.

Funny how whenever I open these threads, it's always west-coast-centric, because the first post is at 10:00 pacific when those of us on the east coast are asleep.

    The answer is Founders.

All of these mostly for their hoppy offerings since I can find them reasonably fresh in PA, but they all produce some other great styles as well.

Too many. I guess I'll pick one and say Short's. They don't make my favorite beers overall I'd say, but they do a whole lot of interesting shit that I like to try out.

When I lived in Albuquerque, NM, I had a much better go-to selection than I do now in SC (by this I mean what I can pick up in a grocery store...both places have great bottle shops).
NM--Avery, Great Divide (selection was better), Deshcutes, Full Sail, New Belgium, Stone, Santa Fe and Marble
SC--Westbrook, Terrapin, New Belgium, Sweetwater, Stone, Lagunitas
