I don't know if he stole the show at WTF but his beer is pretty nice. I was more impressed with some of the others that night such as Jester King, Side Project, Destihl, AC Golden. If anyone stole the show, it was Golden. Block 15 were the worst with some serious enterobacteria issues.

I look forward to trying this collab. Thanks for posting.

Any time you make the booth serving Brandy Hunahpu that is next you look like they are pouring out natty light samples, I'd say say qualifies as "stole the show" territory.

Fair enough. But Drakes made CCB look the same at Rare Beer a few hours prior. Lines for CCB were smaller this year at GABF as well. I think their luster is waning a bit these days.

That said Wakefield had nice beer at WTF. It was definitely more suited for that event thank a non sour imperial stout.

Yeah!!! That picture taken with Greg is at one of the best beer bars in Miami, The Local! I used to live just a few blocks from there. Miss that place. I can't think of a small brewer more worthy of brewing a beer with Stone than J. Wakefield. This is great news.

Again with the peppers? Had no interest in Crime or Punishment, and this dude is apparently known for his sours, which Greg was apparently blown away by... Logic would seem to follow that they would brew a sour as the collabo, and a sour with peppers sounds pretty terrible. Obviously there's a portion of beer geeks that dig hot-ass beers, I'm just not one of them. I really don't understand the pepper beer fad that's happening right now. Spicy food? Hell yeah. But I'll stick with keeping my jalapeños on my cheese steaks and not in my beers.

No doubt. This collab is awesome, but I will admit that brewing with hot peppers is pushing the envelope. Who knows? Wakefield is known for his sours, but he makes a helluva lot more varieties

Peppers? Why? When you have a golden opportunity , you don't use peppers !

Sour with chiles seems like it might taste like throwing up Mexican food.

Not at all, there is quite a bit of fruit going in to this collaboration and the heat will not be overpowering, just a tad.

I may be the best person to judge the merits of a chile beer. I rarely find them tolerable in a beer, and even more rarely do I find they bring anything positive to the beer (exception: 5 Stones Aloha Piña). I will admit, I've never tried a chile sour.
