I've seen this before and it never gets old.

In your post when you said "fermentation time lapse" I thought there was a problem/delay with their fermentation causing a "time lapse" in their bottling/distribution.

    Glad it wasn't that.

    Cheers!

    Nice!

Does anyone know if they plan on doing the BA version again this year?

I shot this time lapse a few years back, but polished it up a bit for this year's release. Thanks for the compliments. We're definitely doing a BA Bigfoot again this year. Stay tuned for release details (still up in the air a bit)

Did not know that Bigfoot was brewed in open fermenters.

Wonder if they do SN Pale Ale in open Fermenters?

SN has many large conicals for fermentation.

Bill may have more info, but Bigfoot and Kellerweiss are open fermented

No, sadly, we don't do Pale Ale in open fermentation. Although occasionally we will do one or two batches for flavor blending. We do 100% of Bigfoot and 100% of Kellerweis in opens.
Interestingly, we're putting new open fermenters in our Asheville brewery (Mills River, NC) that are much more sophisticated than the opens in Chico, so we'll probably ramp-up the amount of beer we do in opens once those are on-line. They're currently on a ship bringing them here to NC as we speak!

Yeah, that's me. I shot this over the course of several days right around Christmas, and sadly, I had to come back to the brewery every 4 hours to change out the camera battery. Every time I'd re set the battery, I'd wait until the camera cycled through. I pop up a bunch of times over the course of the video. I'm on the right at 0:27, 0:32, 0:37, 0:42, 0:47.
Nothing like 15 split-seconds of fame, right?

I cant wait to compare the two. I've got a bunch of '13 to compare to and I want to save a bunch of the '14 as well to eventually do a 5 year vertical.
