I've had two bottles of this year's so far and I say it's drinking amazingly. Lots of grapefruit and subtle papaya with a nice smooth bitterness. Definitely not a bitter bomb but that's what The Oracle is for. The 10% is dangerously hidden as well.

I am writing a tenth symphony dedicated to this ale! Odes to Joy and Schiller will have to take a back seat!

Jealous of people getting cases of this stuff...I'm on a list to get one six-pack (which will probably be $20-$25) at my store, and the store doesn't know how much they're getting so they're going to work down the list until they run out. I was #21 on the list because I missed the post about it for 8 hours, so I'm not too hopeful but we'll see...

Looks like some SE Michigan stores are being delayed a week for delivery because of the snowstorm this past weekend. Not sure if it will be a trickle down effect for everyone else.

Don't think it should trickle down. From what I heard, the plan was to start delivering today, but Bell's was closed yesterday due to snow/cold so the distributor wasn't able to pick it up.

If the distributor was able to get it today like they said they were hoping to, it could start hitting stores tomorrow. Anyways, I would imagine this would only impact the stores that get Tuesday/maybe Wednesday deliveries from Bell's (like mine ). I don't' think it will push back the other release dates, as the beer is already bottled, just a delay in the distributor picking it up.

Was at the General Store today and a guy bought 4 cases! Personally I'm surprised they don't have a 2 case limit but apparently they made a bunch more this year. Had a Hopslam and a Roundhouse IRA at the Cafe. Man, I wish the bottled Roundhouse.

Best beer store in NYS IMHO: http://www.deciccos.com/OS_SL_Brewster.aspx

They have other locations as well but I love this one. Kind of like a bigger version of Premier Gourmet with a bar included. And I saw the Bell's rep in Buffalo over the holidays and she said we will be seeing Hopslam in Western NY. She said Bell's got more hops and will be able to make more of it. How much we will see remains tbd. Cheers!
