This has never crossed my mind. I was thinking the other day about how unexpectedly good most blended beers on the market taste nowadays, so this seems like a great idea.

This is typically what I do, got a drawer in the fridge with random beers in it that I call that I call the "Dave Drawer". My Cousin comes out from time to time and never brings enough beer with him, so anticipating him asking for a beer and knowing he won't appreciate anything good , I have some on hand that he is welcome to.
Sometimes I'll hook my dog up with a beer as well, he's happy to drink anything! Lol

You could send them to someone that would want them, like the guy in this thread that would take them...Just have them send you a shipping label..

    Or boil shrimp. Yum!

If it's considered to be too bitter then it's still a good IPA.

I would just drink them. Even with faded hops, ipas don't cook well with most foods, and I think that you could find a way to enjoy them. Besides, you wont know how they have changed (and you have changed) over the past year. You might be able to finish them without any problem.

and if that doesnt work, idk, use them for some kind of barbecue sauce :stuck_out_tongue:

Be cautious. I've had bad experiences trying to cook with old ipa's. When you boil those hops in a soup or something like that, it can impart a lot of unwelcome bitterness.

i agree with steaming clams, and add some lemon-pepper and garlic in there to give them some zest on top of the hops.

Beer bread. Or, some years ago I made the bacon fat IPA shortbread cookies that BA had a recipe for. Pretty damned tasty, but more a savory biscuit than a sweet cookie.
