Pappy Eclipse trade value

My answer relates to KBBS because I don't really have a good enough feel of the market for Assassin... If you have the 23 pappy eclipse, potentially 1:1. Otherwise (20 yr) you're looking at least 2:1, but honestly its not worth trading for at this point. TG has outright stated KBBS is being made again and in much bigger batches. You're better off having some patience.

 

We all know the first and smaller batch is always the best.

 

If proprietors showed anything it's that larger bitches mean nothing nowadays.

I traded assassin for the Pappy 20 and was very happy to do so. If that helps at all. Would imagine KBBS would be a Pappy 20+. You are in the ballpark to get at least one done so I'd throw up a post and see how it goes.

 

Is it just me, but pappy eclipse was thin and not that good. Smelled great but taste was just ok. I would never trade an assassin or KBBS for any of the eclipse series. Based on taste.

 

Agreed. It might be because we had it side by side with a Rare, and that blew it away. I had the same feelings as you, it was thin and definitely not worth the price IMO.

 

I traded a BA Huna for one and a BT.

 

The eclipse beers are thin overpriced overrated junk. IMO of course

 

I haven't had them all, but the EC 20 yr old is far from a junk BA Stout. The ones I've has are very good just not $30 good, but I'd pay that for the EC20.

 

I'm getting a Prop + 2 BCBCS + 2 BCBW for a Pappy 20 yr Eclipse. Just need the right person. Of course my extras will be very generous.
