plenty of talk of favourite brews being drunk but what beers have you had lately that have disappointed you?

two beers that got me thinking about this last week were:

garage project trip hop - presumed this was fresh but to me it was really lacking, especially to what i was expecting from gp from previous beers. even had a funny vegemite nose as pointed out by my stepson.

eagle bay & yeastie boys feijoa tea pale ale - to me this was nowhere as good as the standard eagle bay pale. feijoa and tea didnt improve things.

Sorry to hear that. That batch of Trip left our brewery on Oct 11th, almost immediately after being packaged, so should be in good condition.

Were the carbonation levels ok, and what part of the country are you in? Bottles we have here are still tasting good so quite frustrating to hear! Would appreciate the feedback, and my email is [email protected]

I have to reluctantly add to this post..... two Red Ducks recently, both purchased from Beer Cartel.

Sabre Tooth was 1/10 beer in the glass and 9/10 head. The beer was OK when I actually go to it but a poor experience overall. It's a fresh batch so something has gone wrong...
Gnaume was a complete gusher, and had the word Lambic on the label and really wasn't.

If I have a poor beer I do normally note it mentally, and if I repeat the experience I normally tell the brewer. In this instance the Red Duck web site does not have contact details, so posting on here in lieu of that.

Cockswain's Courage Blended Porter at a tasting - thin bodied and lacking roast, big disappointment considering price and overrating review scores

De Struise Tsjeeses Port Barrel - drank like a cheap overbearing Belgian, unexpected for a brewery I hold in such high regard (and I liked the non-BA version)

Billy B's Golden Apple Beer - not bad but seems overrated, just big sweet apple flavours with some funk and vinegar

Went with some mates to Rocks Brewing a few nights ago. Had Hangman and Boxer and left disappointed. Very bland and muted. Expected more for the prices they were pouring at. Will not return as staff was more disinterested than the beer was
