Had a very infected bottle of this at a tasting last night. Thin body, tasted like sour cherries, only a remnant of -bal flavor remaining. Anyone else experience this?

seems like everything is infected lately. almost as if you should be drinking barrel-aged beers sooner rather than later.

    no, that can't be right.

    ^ A tad declarative, no?

Regardless, curious about other people's experiences.

I suppose there's a very, very slim chance that I had the only infected bottle out of the entire batch. That seems a bit unlikely, though.

You should ask ChadQuest about it. I hear he has thoughts on the subject.

My buddy cracked his bottle on April 12th for four of us. There was nothing but deliciousness contained in that bottle. Given the other bottles shared that day (Rare, Bramble, Parabola and others), infection would have stood out like a sore thumb. I would guess that this is an isolated incident.

Was this a bottle from the recent release, or a growler from the previous release?

Bottle. I've had it from growlers a few times with no issues.

No complaints for me either. Had it on tap after release, and in bottle.

Had a bottle from the 2012 release and it was fantastic, not a hint of infection.

was it stored at correct temps before you bought it? wouldnt that ruin the taste?

I trust lagadeer to detect an infection well enough. I also doubt it's batch wide.

A visiting BA shared a bottle with a group of us not too long ago (I wanna say within the past month or so), and it was pretty tasty, with nothing close to a hint of infection...

People have have had bottles that aren't infected. That means there are no infected bottles. Your experience should be discounted and people should continue to list the times they've enjoyed it in the past sans infection.
