Hop Insanity Going too far?

    They've had that for years. I was given one at a beer festival like three years ago.

    New Belgium did one with the same hops they used in Ranger. I was legit upset when I ran mine through the dryer.

    I received Hops Shampoo and DIPA Lip Balm from Atlantic Farms for X-mas. I don't think hop products are all that new. Incidentally, I find the shampoo to be very watery. Makes it difficult to apply. Otherwise, it produces an acceptable lather.

    There's a bunch of soaps and other products of that ilk out there. Check the on-line brewery stores. In my desk I have two sticks of the official, but short-lived, company lip balm we had made. Ours was a promo thing, not intended for sale, but along the same lines. Candles, soaps, what-have-you. Why not? People buy stuff even remotely related to their passion whether it's t-shirts, beer glasses, bottle openers, or other stuff. Plus it all makes an easy gift for someone who recognizes someone's hobby but doesn't want to get into the details.

    I can imagine hop soap would be pretty great, plus I imagine that it doesn't leave a massively long lasting scent. But hop lip balm? Man, I don't know. I like hops, but it's not like I want to be tasting them all day.

    I think I'll stick with the tried and true Carmex for my lip moisturizing needs.

    It said that they're down until the 15th, but today's the 16th, so maybe it's just because it's like 7:30am out on the West Coast right now and they haven't enabled purchases yet.

    I'll add to the list of people who enjoy New Belgiums lip balms. They made snowboarding that much better! Cigar city's soaps are great too.
