What areas do you think get shafted the worst in terms of what gets distributed there?

I'd have to put South Florida in the convo. Yes, things are getting better here than even a year ago, but after going on a trip to atlanta a few months ago, it's absurd how many breweries will distribute to GA than FL. Even worse, there are a number of breweries who are in northern florida but ignore the almost 6 million people who live down here. Don't get me wrong, i'm sure there are worse spots, but its not great down here. especially with limited releases. we even have trouble getting CCB stuff sometimes.

Who else lives in a zone that misses out on a lot?

I am sure Rhode Island gets tons more than a lot of places. However, when I visit bottle shops over the line in CT or Mass, not to mention what I see in VT, I can't help but feel that we're not getting what we could be.

Memphis is terrible, 80% of what I get has to be shipped in from other states. We hopefully soon will have Founder's and Lagunitas.

WV takes the cake I'd say. We get Great Lake, Rouge and other general distro beers. I wish we could just get a couple good ones like founders, Oscar Blues and Stone......

Anyplace rural - from what I know, my friends and rellies in the metro area see a great variety of great brands, but I work for a wholesaler out in the boonies and still get shafted. It doesn't sell out here so for distro management, taking on a brand like founders at the wrong time would be like shooting yourself in the foot.

We dont even get New Belgium and New Belgium Fat Tire is a craft beer staple/classic. No Yuengling either. I sometimes hear people in shops asking for it.

MD is not too bad, but as a former VA resident, I sorely miss Bells and Founders :slight_frown:

The entire Northeast doesn't get New Belgium beers

Tho' that will probably change once their NC brewery is built.

Try living in the Northwest. Not that I'm complaining by any means, but I'd hazard a guess that the ratio of breweries from most of the rest of the country that don't distribute here to those that do is higher than in just about any other region. Fortunately we make up for that by a ridiculous abundance of beer made on the West Coast.

Ohio just got NB distro! I can't really complain at all! In the last couple years, we've got Ballast Point, Oskar Blues, 3F's, Yuengling and Deschute's this month! I've been in South FLA, looking for beer in years past, the OP is right, it was rough!

Why hasn't anyone said utah... the 4% abv cap is a hassle. Most breweries stay away.
