Best Setting to Drink In?

I like to drink a few beers while hiking, maybe at the peak of a mountain or something to be able to take in a nice view. Especially nice in the winter.

But sometimes my favorite setting to drink in is honestly in a chair in my kitchen after work. Atmospheric black metal albums in the headphones, stouts in my glass, and BA on the screen.

 

I love to have a drink while either on or overlooking the water.
My second favorite would be while at the racetrack at Saratoga.
(Saratoga in August should be on your bucket list)

If I can't be on the water, I enjoy sitting on my deck and tossing one back.

Outdoors are for the birds, I'm a city boy. But I'll enjoy any setting if the company and brews are right.

 

Besides a fire...I love drinking beer next to a summer game with some dispatch in background ...does Dave Mathews make a beer?

 

In a Mexican restaurant with my friends after a day of snowboarding. Those Negro Modelos (or whichever beer) are always 5 star delicious.

 

When I was stationed in North Carolina I used to take my husky out in the patches of woods that were within the city. I would always take a backpack with a bunch of beers and a glass wrapped up in a bath towel, and some bottles of water to drink/wash out the glass. I love the woods in general, but something about finding a secret secluded place in the middle of an otherwise bustling city was always pretty cool to me. Those are my fondest drinking memories. Sitting on a cinder block and watching the pup run around the brush.

Canoeing, at home or camping

 

On the sectional while decimating others at Halo, or a European pub surrounded by locals.

 

While camping, at the beach, backyard BBQ, or while watching Football/Hockey/Baseball

 

While listening to Vin Scully.

 

Two great settings for drinking beer from my past - Whenever I'd go fishing with a couple of friends we'd always bring loads of beer to drink while we're fishing.
Whenever my pal Mike would have a July 4th barbecue in his back yard, we'd always have a keg of beer there. And plenty of six packs too.

Or sitting with them both around a bonfire telling stories.

 

Definitely at the cabin, where all-day session drinking is mixed with whatever activities you want to do, everyone grills out at will, then gravitates to the camp fire at night to settle in for a real buzz. Nobody has to travel home, the air is fresh, the laughs are hard, and there's no such thing as a hangover.

 

There was a time it was at the bottom of Outer Limits. Now with friends at the Doom Saloon is my favorite.

 

In my garage after completing a tough job on one of my cars.

 

I love chilling with my wife on the patio in the summer with a Detroit Tigers game on the radio playing cards. So relaxing.
