New Mass Brewery, Bentley Brewing opens doors

    Hi everyone, just wanted to share the info for our grand opening Saturday, February 8th! Hope to see a bunch of you!

    BENTLEY BREWING COMPANY OPENS THEIR DOORS IN SOUTHBRIDGE

    SOUTHBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS, JANUARY 22nd, 2014 –To celebrate the official kickoff of Bentley Brewing Company, brewers Mike Lynch and Adam Golka will be hosting a tasting of their beers on Saturday, February 8th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 12 Crane Street in Southbridge, Massachusetts. They will be filling growlers and offering samples of their Bentley IPA, Southbridge Ordinary Bitter, and select brewery-only releases.

    Bentley’s Southbridge Ordinary Bitter combines traditional British Maris Otter malt with Sterling hops that gives the beer a full, toasty flavor with a dry finish. “It balances plenty of flavor and drinkability,” said Mike Lynch. Bentley IPA is a classic American style IPA, with Nugget, Columbus, Chinook, and Apollo hops. “It’s one of our favorite beers to make.” Adam Golka said. “All the hops we use make the brewery smell amazing.” Bentley will also have a rotating selection of limited release beers, available only by the growler. “The limited release beers really allow us to experiment,” Said Mike. “We get to try lots of new ideas and share our results.”

    Bentley Brewing Company shares the same building with the Dark Horse Tavern, who is hosting the grand opening. “It was a natural partnership.” Adam said. “The Dark Horse Tavern is the best place for craft beer in the area, and we’re very proud that our beers have a home here.” The brewers will be offering samples and talking beer until 5:00 p.m. and filling growlers until 9:00 p.m.. Both the Southbridge Ordinary Bitter and the Bentley IPA will be available on draft at the Dark Horse Tavern.

    In 2013 a small group of friends came together at Bentley Brewing Company with one goal; to make the best beer possible for their local community. The Bentley brewers hand craft their beers on a custom 10 barrel capacity brewhouse tucked into a corner of the historic 12 Crane Building in downtown Southbridge, Massachusetts. You can purchase Bentley beer by the growler from the brewery or by the pint at The Dark Horse Tavern, a premier craft beer bar located right down the hall.

    Awesome news! My wife and I live a few miles from the Dark Horse and have been going there quite a bit for the past few years (on average once a week, so I guess that makes us regulars...just ask Hillary, lol). It's been our go-to place for good brews and good food. I'm glad to see the brewery opening back up...nothing better then fresh beer straight from the brewery. I wish you guys the best of luck, truly. We'll definitely be stopping by next Saturday! :slight_smile:

    Not in my neck of the woods, but any brewery opening in Mass gets my seal of approval. Best of luck to you and the Brewery.

    I, for one, like the brewery name :wink: ! Dark Horse is a great spot, and best of luck for Bentley Brewing's return!

    Glad to see this space getting used again. I looked at this space as an option for my company a few years back. I wish the operators luck as this space had a tough run with its first few operators. Sounds like they have planned and executed for success. best of luck!
