HopSlam is coming

Whats the good word? Im hearing Feb 3 or 4. Any different info on your end?

 

I herd 1/27 for the Tampa area. Bells release says 1/20 I figure that is when it begins shipping.

 

I think they pushed all of us in the Southeast back a week. We were originally 1/20 release, and I can tell you I haven't even gotten my allocations yet and the beer is definitely not in house. I'm thinking it will be at least another week. We are very much due for and in need of a Bell's truck!

 

1/20 was when it was leaving Bell's.

 

Yeah I assumed shipping out of MI on 1/20, arriving here within a few days, but who know how long Tryon will sit on it. Also I suppose weather might be a factor in the shipping process.

 

So are we getting it a month after it was bottled? Or are these "fresher" bottles?

Talked to Spencer tonight at City Bev and he said they would have Hopslam on Feb. 4th.

 

Won't know till we see the bottles. Typically we get more than one shipment during multiple runs. One year I remember the first wave being 2-3 weeks old, but then I had bottles that came from later shipments that had only one week of age on them.

 

I'm hearing around the 27th to the 1st of the month for GA stores. Later for smaller stores.

 

I talked to the guy at my store last week. He said it's suppose to ship to the distributor on 1/29, which means maybe a special Friday (1/31) delivery to the store, but most likely the week of 2/5.

 

29th is a Wednesday not Friday

Damn! I don't know what happened there. I corrected the dates in the original post to avoid confusion.

Edit: and then I messed up the Feb date and now it timed out so I can no longer edit it. Expected delivery the week of Feb 3.

 

If you read the original press release from Bell's, 1/20 was the date distributors could pick it up from the brewery.

 

We would've picked it up on the 20th if they had let us. We were pushed to the 27th by Bell's, as I would assume other states in the Southeast were. We have no hopslam in house.

Well, it's still coming. Who knows, maybe we were part of the second bottling or something. I know we got it like 5 days after bottling last year (here in SC)
