Fuck... I went broke just looking at this list. I may have to sell my body to get home.

I give CW credit giving this party another go, but I would expect a repeat of last year. An even larger crowd means there will undoubtedly be a few more idiots scattered in the mix trying to manipulate the system and take advantage of others. I'm still kicking myself for not attending this party 4-5 years ago when there were 10-20 beer geeks. The pictures from those tastings were unreal.

Those tastings were unreal! When all of "us" would fit into that one little room all night..

I'm not accusing you of anything but this is exactly the reason it bothers me when people complain about the mouth feel of BB stout it's the same as satin solitude because that's the base beer. As far as BA versions of year round beers go it's one of if not the best. Admittedly it doesn't compare to a lot of other bigger stouts but it was meant to and no one seems to know this.

that entire paragraph has nothing to do with anything. i was referring to and could have even been posted as a response to the thread as opposed to my statement. "i guess it makes plenty of sense" refers to flavor profiles and the sequence of Progression from satin solstice to 15

I was there maybe 4 years ago, and there were probably 30 people in that back room. I also remember the must try beer of the night was Exodus, which they tapped 1keg of and it sold out immediately. Even if the sharing goes away in the future, the tap list is excellent and I won't be hurting for exquisite beers.

I unfortunately never made it to those old parties, but they had to have been very similar to the Great Amherst Beer Fest ( Black Gold Release ), this fell on the same day as their 5k for charity, the ratio of locals to beer geeks had to be like 4:1, it was great. No lines for anything, 1 keg of Sixteen last several hours - a few of us even split the cost of an extra Black Gold and had a nice local guy go and buy one so we could open it right away... Great event. I'm anticipating tomorrow to be a lot busier and clustered, but still will be a great time, especially with troubles from last year being addressed and fixed.

I didn't make it last year but wish I did. I've yet to try 1414 and hear it's still the best of the 3, which I find amazing since 15 is the best BA stout I've ever had aside from BA DL offerings.

Great Amherst Beer Fest was awesome--its cool to be at the brewery when the weather is nice and you can actually be outside, as opposed to the anniversary parties which seem to coincide every year with the coldest weather possible

Fifteen and 1414 are the same beer, just more time in the barrel.

For a newbie: what's parking like for those of use who are just headed up to pick up our allotment of bottles? Is it even worth trying to park near the brewery if we get there around 1pm?

There is quite a bit of parking (although you may have to walk). No need to get there before 2 unless you are in the pre-party. I'd suggest getting there close to 3 as it's going to be a cold ass wait outside beforehand and the 2-7 pm 16 sales should keep that line low (and the fact that the other bottles are sold elsewhere). I have been surprised before though so who knows!

Damn jealous of you all, because the black gold event was very cool, have an awesome time. Just can't get there, next year for sure. Is there any BA who'd be willing to turn one of your Sixteen into an HF Everett + something else I could muster up? Thanks, bm if interested.

Can anyone verify as far as picking up an order by proxy, can i have a photo ID texted/emailed to me? a friend of mine from Milwaukee isn't sure he's going to get off in time to be there by 7 so I was going to try and grab his allotment.
