I have an upcoming work trip to Anaheim and am trying to connect with a cousin that is currently working in San Diego. I have been to most of the San Diego breweries and the only Anaheim/Orange Co. brewery I have been to is The Bruery. I was looking for something in between (doesnt have to be exact) Anaheim and Escondido/SD. Any input?
First stop would be Noble Ale Works in Anaheim, this Wednesday Nelson Showers is coming out. Of course there is Stone in Escondido.
Pizza port Carlsbad or San Clemente are both excellent places to stop for both the beer and the food.
i have heard pizza port in Carlsbad can get pretty crazy. I was thinking about going on a Monday late afternoon/early evening. Any insight?
Cismontane brewery in rancho santa margarita. A pretty good middle point between Anaheim and San diego.
Rip Current is in San Marcos off the 78 & Las Posas. Mother Earth is also off the 78 and Vista Way. Both smaller and underrated in my opinion.
I love pizza port carlsbad totally chill spot and good pizza has a lot of guest taps and pizza port beer is awesome and it is right off the 5 frwy so easy access
San Clemente Pizza Port should be right about exactly halfway in between. I've always liked the feel of that PP the best, even if they occasionally have a couple fewer beers than Carlsbad. Plus you can sit on the patio and look out down the street at the ocean, which never gets old.
Seconded. But also Belching Beaver is conveniently close to Lost Abbey as well. I'm a big fan of their milk stout.
