I think this will likely be their biggest release to date in terms of turnout. 81 confirmed on facebook and many of those will be bringing guests. Thank god this is happening in the new brewery.

I sent a box of beer up ahead of myself since I don't want to check a bag and wanted to be sure to have some stuff for the share. Will probably bring 2 of the following 3: 2012 Pugachev's Cobra, Brandy Bois, 2012 Liftbridge BA Silhouette. Look forward to meeting tons of Portland peeps over the course of the weekend.

At the Spears release, they used a barrel to set down all bottles people had brought into share. Throughout the evening, someone would come up, grab the bottle they brought, have it opened, then share around (like most bottle shares). Pause for an appropriate time, and repeat. Of course, there were only 20'ish people there and the entire event was pretty low key.

Given the tap list and number of people, I'm thinking the bottle share on 2/1 will be of secondary interest to many people. I'll likely bring along a couple things, but wait to see how things flow before deciding how many and what to bring out. Just make sure you have someone working the event open the bottle.

    Bottle share:
We cannot have bottles opened outside, and all bottles must be opened by one of the folks working. My apologies if either poses an issue, but we can't jeopardize our license.

We are setting aside a large table in a separate room for the share. Should provide a better space and keep any crowds around the taps to a minimum. Ill swing through regularly or have someone else do so to make sure everyone is taken care of.

I'm throwing in a Hill Farmstead or two, plus another couple as a thanks. Other than that, please try to limit bottles to a couple tops. We want an enjoyable event, but we also have to be mindful of governing bodies.

    Thanks for all the interest!

Oh, and we're premiering our 'Double Hoppy Porter' aged in gin barrels on draft as well.
pushing 10% abv, we're damn happy with it. Robust chocolatey notes with a strong pine and mint backing and aroma. We think it'll be a big hit.
    looking forward to it!
    Now back to preparations...

I could not be more excited for this release! I have a stupid question for you. Is it alright if we bring some snacks to share with folks as well? Nothing crazy, just something like a veggie tray or some pinwheels.

    Not a problem.
just keep it surface-wise to a minimum as we don't have too many tables beyond the bottle share one.

Oh believe me, that was my suggestion. It was my wife's idea, and being much smarter and better at life than I am she suggested something that did not need heated and would not overwhelm anyones palate.

hey, I feel like I remember Trevor saying something about discounted hotel rates for brewery patrons.. Is that true? Or was that pelican? I plan on not being allowed to leave Tillamook -- sounds like a great time.

Trevor do we need to bring our membership papers/cards/sheets to get our keepers allocations?

Mar Clair usually offers a solid discount if you mention we refered you for an event.
I'd hit them up soon though.
Still working on the taxi arrangements...
Please don't drive anyone if you're indulging. Pelican is right downtown, and you can hit them up for dinner or after dinner when we close down. Plenty of good brew, and we want folks safe.
